Haven't read most of this thread, but strong word is that many of these effects are examples on a smaller scale of what will be used in SDL's PoC attraction, which will be very different from the other four.

I saw this new semi-attraction yesterday...and I must say that it's pretty nifty. The moment you walk into it, you really feel immersed into a different and very creepy world. The show itself isn't mind-blowing - it's interactive, unfortunately, which kind of blows (will you PLEASE get off your interactive fixation, TDO??? The only places on WDW property where that gimmick works at all is at the Monsters Inc. Laugh Floor and Turtle Talk with Crush!), but visually it's terrific and overall the show is lots of fun. I highly recommend it. :)

I have a silly question. When we were there a couple of weeks ago, Disney had noticably cut back on A/C just about everywhere. If a room had more than 12 people in it, it was frequently uncomfortably warm. Was this the case in the new attraction as well?

Sounds worthwhile. How long was the wait?

It was at 30 minutes the two times I passed it by. When I finally stood in line for it, it was down to 20 minutes (this was around 5 pm or so). I don't think Disney has to worry about whether or not the public still likes Cap'n Jack. The park wasn't very full when I was there, but that attraction always drew healthy crowds. :)

we were there around 8 pm. The wait time was about 5 min. It was a full room though. We did have jackets ( I had on a sweater) but so did everyone else in the room since it was so cold out so that honestly may have had a part of it. When we went through many people comment on how warm it got in there.

Oddly enough, no. It's very close to "One Man's Dream", and for some reason - at least to me - that seems kind of fitting, since "Pirates of the Caribbean" was one of the very last attractions Walt himself worked on. :)
That area is, in a somewhat half-hearted way, supossed to be the 'Disney Studios'. The back half of the park is a collection of film studios, Lucas Studios, Muppet Studios, Pixar, Disney. The left area of the Disney studios is Disney's Pixar, the middle area is 'real life and live action' Disney, the right part is animation Disney. There is a logic to the madness of DHS! Albeit a flimsy, after-the-fact one, and not really vigorously pursued.

I was able to check this out on Sunday. Realize i had never been through the Narnia exhibit, but I've heard it was just a bunch of props.

This however is quite cool, although it feels a bit like a preshow...something you do in anticipation of a ride or something else, but instead you exit. I don't know how much space they had to work with, but I thought we'd at least go into another room to actually "walk-through".

Disney uses a lot of effects and its both funny and a great spot for taking photos. The only other issue I have is that with its popularity, we were in there like sardines. Perhaps once the newness wears off, it will be easier to walk around a little and take photos.
