Don't forget that $500mm of that is earmarked for power converters from Toshi Station.
Tosche Station (just in case anyone is trying to google the reference).

There's something charming about seeing the Flynn Rider wanted poster in the Mens room.Isn't that what they spent on the Tangled Toilets?
A reasonable number. I would be very surprised if the infrastructure projects we have heard of for DHS cost more than $500m. For $1.5bn the monorail better finally smash through the black box in the Dolphin every 5 minutes (with pyrotechnics).Ok, so the garage at DHS would have to be much bigger, so you're probably talking $200m.

In other words, they'd have to be building 30 of them to spend $1.5B.The permit documents filed for the garages actually listed the cost, it was about $50 million each.
It looks like they are roughly about 7,000 vehicles per each one. That's my best guess. My opinion states that now that Speedway is gone from the MK parking lot, Parking garages should be built since the lots ten to fill up by 12 now a days. Adding more space and capacity. That's a long shot. but yeah that's my stupid thought of the day.Any idea of capacity for the new DTD garage? I assume they'd want space for about 10,000 cars in a DHS garage like each of the garages at Universal.
haha don't we all know it will probably never happen.Nope. No way. There is no monorail expansion. Just shut that down right now.

Interesting. There was a permit filed today for Voyage of Little Mermaid Fastpass Sign. This would lead me to believe this isn't going anywhere anytime soon.

I don't know why everyone sees 'infrastructure' and immediately goes 'parking garages'. You know what else is infrastructure? The utilidors. Backstage buildings. Drainage canals (which, coincidentally, we know they have to move). Access roads. And tons of other things that add up really quickly when you have to build them around what is already existing. Yes, part of that is probably going to be a parking garage. But most of the cost will be other things.
Installation or removal?
Doesn't say, but it's not common to see permits for sign removal.

Maybe they plan to also remove 3/4 of the omnimover clamshells in order to create a demand for the fancier Fastpass sign.
I agree because you're the guy who's watch it for a few years.
The only reason I suggest it's a possibility is that the American Idol signage had a permit when it was removed.
