Proofreading is useful.

Proofreading is overrated. Once, I wrote a short story. Not long after, I heard about the Writer's Digest annual writing competition for that year. I printed it up and mailed it out. 8th place in that category. Never proofread it.

Now, to those of you who are no doubt already saying, "But think how much better you would have done if you had?" I say, "Balderdash." I purchased the compilation of winners, and let me tell you that I think the judges had already made up their minds to had out first place to absolute drivel.

A college age kid waiting for phase 2 of Animal Kingdom in 1997 could even have their own kids applying for college by the time it finally opens in 2017.
Actually Animal Kingdom has been expanded quite a bit since 1998. Kali River Rapids, DinoLand USA (It's a change, not saying it's a positive one), Expedition Everest, the recent expansions of Harambe...

...in which case removal of an apostrophe should cost no where near $2.8bn.

Something about that just amuses the ish outta me. $2.8B to remove an apostrophe...my jaded bitter side thinks that sounds about right and my crazed Disney fanboy side thinks we are getting a huge Pixar Place, a huger Star Wars Land and happiness ensues.

Also, I cannot believe how much time I put into wondering what will happen at DHS...

"Disney’s Hollywood Studios seems to be getting more and more cool and exciting, thanks in no small part to its starry “Frozen-ality”."
"This all-time great thrill attraction always lets you down, but in a fun, screamie way."
"How perfect is this for getting out of the warmish and into the coolish?"
I have no words to describe this monstrosity.

You are, of course, correct in general about the apostrophe--writing "men's ties were wider in the the 1970's" is just wrong. But to be fair, it's possible that the apostrophe is actually possessive in this case...the Prime Time Cafe belonging in the 1950s, as one would say "chinese restaurant" and not "china restaurant." I realize I may be putting more thought into this that they did when they named it...

If we want to get all pedantic up in here: if it is indeed the "Prime Time Café" belonging to the 50s (therein personifying the decade), it would be spelled '50s' Prime Time Café since the apostrophe that denotes ownership would come after the plural noun, as the noun ends with an s already. The apostrophe before 50 would be taking the place of the eliminated numbers "19".

Class dismissed, don't forget your homework: a 1000-word essay on the worst smelling monorail cabin you have ever been inside.
Well, I don't know about the tiny little subtle uses of an apostrophe, but, I can say without fearing that I am wrong, that this entire subject has been way, way overthought.

Oops, you should have proofread that last sentence.

The whole point of Disney's marketing is to get people back year after year...DVC and all.
So I have been to DHS many many times....and I have seen the shows many many times...Some I cant be bothered seeing again...most actually...There are only 5 actual rides in the whole park....that is the least number of rides in any Disney Park anywhere.
Once you have seen Little Mermaid Show 3 times...I think that's enough...
LMA 4 times, Indiana Jones 4 times, Beauty and the Beast a few times...The only one I see every time is MuppetVision.
The rides are the actual things that you can do many times over and over...and that is the thing they do not have enough of...

Disney's California Adventure came under a lot of criticism when it opened because the public said there was not enough to do...
they opened with 9 actual rides and a handful of big shows... Currently DCA has around 17 actual rides and a handful of shows and experiences. Even Disney Studios Paris has more rides and DHS. It is hard to believe that have gotten away with allowing this park to languish while still getting full price for admission.
Here's every Disney park ranked by ride count.
  1. Disneyland (34 rides)
  2. Tokyo Disneyland (26 rides, 2 going away soon)
  3. Magic Kingdom (23 or 24 rides, depending on whether CoP counts)
  4. Disneyland Paris (21 rides)
  5. Disney California Adventure (20 rides, 1 more coming in 2016)
  6. Tokyo DisneySea (20 rides, at least 1 coming in 2017-ish)
  7. Hong Kong Disneyland (19 rides, 1 more coming in 2016)
  8. Shanghai Disneyland (12 rides confirmed, possibly more)
  9. Epcot (10 rides, 1 more coming in 2016)
  10. Walt Disney Studios Park (10 rides)
  11. Disney's Animal Kingdom (7 rides, 2 more coming in 2017)
  12. Disney's Hollywood Studios (5 rides)

Not to dive into armchair imagineering here, but I will anyway. Adding a Death Star as a projection so that it appeared it was orbiting Earth at specific viewpoints of the park wouldn't be impossible. They could even have it occasionally blow up or blow up the Moon.
