And of course the focus should be Avatar. We have relatively few details still and it is the major project opening between now and the next D23.
Better had be!A friend mentioned to me that I'll be blown away by avatar.
I'm ready (and expecting!) to be blown away by the environment of the land. I have high hopes for the quality of the Boat Ride show scenes as well. They've got the money, the inspiration, and have had more than enough time to be making a place that's unbelievable to walk through. Anything less than absolutely stunning will be, to me, a disappointment.A friend mentioned to me that I'll be blown away by avatar.

The Banshee simulator . . . I'm less enthusiastic about. It had better be pushing the Soarin' ride system forward in a BIG way if it wants to impress me. I'll be happy to be wrong if it really makes for an amazing ride, but with the info we currently have it doesn't sound that different from what's over at The Land. Just more big blue creatures.
That is the impression I'm getting. Thank goodness it doesn't seem like it'll be another FLE.A friend mentioned to me that I'll be blown away by avatar.

My problem with FLE is that it was a net gain of one attraction. Yes it's very pretty and yes, they desperately need more table service restaurants in MK but at the end of they day, it's a net gain of one attraction. A net gain of zero attractions if you include 2KLUTS.
FLE left me feeling "that's it?!" The first time I was there. Lots of hype....

just curious has your friend seen the area?A friend mentioned to me that I'll be blown away by avatar.

In terms of attractions I'd agree, but I grew up on Disneyland Paris and their gorgeous Fantasyland and was very underwhelmed by the aesthetics of Disney Worlds version. On my first visit even at a young age I wanted an overhaul, and the improvements made are very nice.
Still not a fan of the tent style that's adopted throughout a lot of it though, but I'm hoping there's another stage to the Fantasyland expansion somewhere down the line.
That's part of my concern with Pandora. Looks like it should be super pretty - prettier than New Fantasyland, even - but so far we're hearing about two rides and some food and merch options. In terms of content, I'm worried there won't actually be all that much to do, similar to New Fantasyland. I'm hoping there are lots of little nooks and crannies in this land worth exploring. Look at Diagon Alley: One attraction (in the actual Alley - Hogwarts Express is certainly something, but is slightly disconnected), but PLENTY to do and lots worth exploring. I spent hours there and didn't regret a moment. They can overcome a small attraction menu at Avatar, but I wonder if (and how) they will.My problem with FLE is that it was a net gain of one attraction. hopefully there will be more to this land than whats been mentioned so far
I hope so. If there were any more major attractions underway I can't believe we wouldn't know by now. They're not that good at keeping secrets. They're gonna have to flank the Boats and the Banshee ride with a lot of little things if this is gonna keep people around for a while. Otherwise, it'll be "we did the boat, we did the simulator, what's nex-- oh, "that's it?!?"good news DAK is not losing anything just adding

I agree that it was underwhelming. I think the lack of expansion following Everest made it even worse because we needed to be wowed for the first time in a while. That being said the additions are still a positive. Be Our Guest is very cool and gives the option to have a drink or two during a long day in MK. Dumbo was a nightmare and is now a nice looking ride with more reasonable waits. SDMT is fun in my opinion and Little Mermaid is "pleasant" - best word I could come up with!My problem with FLE is that it was a net gain of one attraction.
