Nice pics, but it prompts a question...What's more common the Western Scene or the Gangsters? We saw West. :D With fiiiiire. :D

Lucky! The West is far, far, less common now due to staffing and crowds, they rarely run two trains in each load, so if you're loaded in the front set you're lucky and getting the western, and if you're in the back two cars you're getting the Gangster show. (And no, there's no Fire in the ganster show, just a moving car, a hit squad, and LOADS of gunfire.)

I don't care what anyone says, I love GMR. One of WDI's best.

OOoh, cool! :D

I saw Gangsters in 2006, and I must have caught the tail end of the fire from the western.

And I totally agree with you on GMR. Love that ride. A few things need help, like some effects, and better speilers, but it's really steller. And a classic.

Yeah, the new script is awful. But it gave me classic hits like "This is Nuts...and Nuts ta this!", sooo...

The effects are actually pretty reliable though. In a given year I see all of them work at some point or other, none I can think of that are permanently broken or deactivated.

What was the old script like?

That, and the neon as you begin the ride. Half of the strips were out.:(

They need to do something with those mannequins at the beginning and Tarzan. Besides that, it ain't bad.

Maybe Fantasia too.
Yes and yes. Get rid of the screens in Fantasia and put a AA in there. With water. That would work nicely. Now, it's kinda overlooked.

There's no room for that. See, Fantasia was never planned to be there, the spinning house from Wizard of Oz was. Hence the giant high powered fans and projector there. However due to a certain Ted Turner, he allowed Wizard of Oz to be featured at all if it was no more than like, Five Minutes of attraction time. The main part ran long, so they decided to retheme it as Fantasia at the last minute. So it works as a tribute to an animated classic, and the transition area it was meant to be.

Ah, nice to see the mummies sequence with the background mural in alternate lighting. :)

Yes to the Footlight Parade sequence. Fix the darn revolving stage up! :fork::lookaroun

Not to mention the original finale idea with the Wizard of Oz....

Yep, still bleh to me though. I would like to see a nicer environment for the animated genre.

I really would like to see a salute to military movies added... as long as it isn't Pearl Harbor. :lookaroun

What about the Aliens?

I say new AAs would do wonders.

I'd also predict work done in 2010. If the neon signs are begin fixed now and the hat comes down later, perhaps Disney will feel inclined to fix up the inside?

Ah, who am I kidding this is Disney were talking about.

I still think that they could make it a bit more inspiring than a oddly curved screen.

VERY good observation. :D I really do hope it goes this year. It's set to, anyway. :D

10 years is temporary, after all...
Bleh, get rid of the whole thing! :dazzle: :lookaroun

Nah, it's a classic!
