What I meant by attractions not listed were the ones from your original park roster. Sorry I confused you.

But that IS my original park roster. What I'm after is which attractions in that roster should be delayed until later to keep people coming back.

Oh. Sorry I got confused. Anyway, here's what I think should be delayed for after the park's opening:

Frontierland
  • Country Bear Jamboree
  • Outlaw Roundup Shootin' Gallery
Adventureland
  • Die Fliegen-Teppiche von Aladdin
  • Indiana Jones Adventures: Temple of the Fire Snake
  • Tarzans Baum-Haus
Fantasyland
  • Alice Im Wonderland
  • Mickys PhilharMagi
  • Schneewittchen und die Sieben Zwerge
Toon-Town
  • Goofys Motor Mania
  • Mickys Toll Ebenen
  • Tick, Trick und Tracks Walze Derbies
Discoveryland
  • 20,000 Meilen Unter dem Meer
  • Star Tours
  • Tron 4D
Hope that is alright now.

That's pretty good, except I was considering opening all of Toon-Town, as well as PhilharMagie and Star Tours, with the rest of the park. I would also add Phantom Manor and Space Mountain to the list, too. Other than that, good ideas for delays.

So with our ideas in mind (mine and Figment fan's), here's the official opening day attraction list:

Main Street U.S.A.
  1. Disneyland Railroad
  2. The Disney Gallery
  3. Fire Truck
  4. Horse-Drawn Trolley
  5. Paddy Wagon
  6. Omnibus

Frontierland
  1. Admiral Joe Fowler Riverboat
  2. Big Thunder Mountain
  3. Mark Twain Riverboat
  4. River Pirate Keelboats
  5. Splash Mountain

Adventureland
  1. Adventure Isle
  2. Das Dschungel-Touren
  3. Pirates of the Caribbean

Fantasyland
  1. Die Abenteuer von Pinocchio
  2. Die Abenteuer von Winnie Puuh
  3. Alice's Tea Cups
  4. Cinderella Karussell
  5. Dumbo the Flying Elephant
  6. Der Honigbaum
  7. "it's a small world"
  8. Mickys PhilharMagie
  9. Peter Pan's Flight
  10. Schloss Cinderella

Toon-Town
  1. Chip und Chaps Baum-Haus
  2. Donalds Boot
  3. Goofys Motor Mania
  4. Der Haus der Supergenie Primus Von Quack
  5. Mickys Toll Ebenen
  6. Mickys Wunder Haus
  7. Minnis Schonheit Haus
  8. Plutos Endstuck-Umdrehung
  9. Toon-Town Hall of Fame
  10. Toon-Town Hochstrasse
  11. Tick, Trick und Tracks Walze Derbies

Discoveryland
  1. Brava Centauri Arcade
  2. Buzz Lightyear Laser Blast
  3. Cosmic Highway
  4. Orbitron
  5. Star Tours

And that's the opening day attraction roster, which is 40, which is eight more than Tokyo Disneyland's 1983 opening day roster of 32. You can look at that list by clicking here: http://www.resortathome.com/insidetdr/attraction1983.html.

What did you think? I seriously thought we needed to sacrifice a few classic attractions from the list to keep the guests coming back. Don't worry, it's nothing like Hong Kong Disneyland is, which has almost no classics at all. For this tactic, I removed the Phantom Manor (AKA the Haunted Mansion) and retained Pirates of the Caribbean.

So far so good man. I'd have put the new European park near Madrid, where there were plans to put Eurodisney. I like the idea of using the California Big Thunder, seeing as the rest use Floridas model. Would be nice to see a tribute to the origonal

I'm also thinking of using the CA model for my proposed BTM ride in Hong Kong. This way, we can even things out: three parks use the CA model (AKA Bryce Canyon) and three parks use the FL model (AKA Monument Valley).

Makes sense really, unless you came up with a new format for Berlin and Hong Kong? Thats probably a little too tricky, but it could be done. I never got to ride California's Big Thunder, it was closed the day I wnet, which sucked majorly, how diferent is it?

After you board your mine train, you enter a dark cave through which you zip about momentarily and then start climbing out the tunnel via a hill, passing by stalagmites, stalactites and phosphorescent pools as you go. At the top of the hill, you're back outside and you go zipping around the mountain, over hills and through caves and pass under a tree with possums hanging from it. You then race toward a hole in a canyon wall on the bluffs of which coyotes are perched, howling. You then race through the hole into another cave and you slow down and emerge from the cave and ascend another hill, passing below mining equipment and snakes and turtles on the left side. As you crest the hill and start back down, you pass through a blasting area and a goat chowing down on a stick of dynamite. You then race over hills and through more tunnels and around tight turns. Then you enter another cave, which is actually an ancient gold mine that looks like it's collapsing. You ascend your third lift hill here, passing by rocks tumbling around beside you and some stuck in the wall but liable to break free at any second. Then you race around some more, passing by an area viewable by passerby and finally splash down into a river, passing by a dinosaur skeleton and slow down for good. You pass by the Rainbow Ridge town as you make your way back to the station, where you get out.

That's DL's Big Thunder in a nutshell.

Ye sounds quite different to WDW's version. I looked it up and the track is very diferent as well, more compact. Seemed a little wilder as well.

Which one seems wilder, DL or WDW? Because I want Germany's version to be as wild as they come. :animwink:

DL, i looked at the track, tighter turns etc, if you want the wildest possible, the adapt the DL version, but mabie add the splash bit from tokyo (theres a video on Mouse-bits that shows all the different Big Thunders that may help you out)

Yeah, maybe I could do that. But I'm thinking of having a bulk of the ride be on an island in the middle of the river, just like Paris. BTW, not only did I see the video, I think I have saved to my computer, too.
