I am actually astonished that its not SSE anymore. Thought it needed serious help system wise. Inside out at imagination but no figment would ballsy infront of a crowd, but idk, sure.

If it’s inside out there’s a very real reason to be scared for figment. If it was going to be a takeover of wonders of life they probably would have saved it for 2026.

I mean last time we got affirmation of Tropical Americas, Country Bears, Zootopia at DAK, Pirates Lounge, and Test Track 3. I think what I said is probably a small step down from those.
I'm dicey on EPCOT (even if there's rumors that's something is getting it's ticket punched after TT3 opens), but I think the rest is relatively safe bets.
My dark horse bet is: "the ultimate fate of MV-3D is revealed".

If TT3 isn't open by that time, would be a nice feature to allow them to be the first to experience the new ride... but I'd guess that previews, etc. would have happened by then.

Yeah I love Coronado so much. Didn't know it had the infrastructure (space) to support a con panel but I'm up for it. IMO Coronado may be one of the most beautiful resorts in WDW and I dislike how much people seem to forget about it.

Yeah, 100%. We know Disney likes to switch up plans last-second and surprise even the leakers / insiders with new plans from time to time. They're very changeable, and with Inside Out 2 becoming the highest grossing animated movie of all time, all I could hear is the death bell warning out for Figment, and I'm terrified...

Dude calm down. This topic comes up every few months. Figment makes too much merch money to go away fully. Getting rid of figment would be Disney essentially saying: “I don’t want the merchandising money that aps constantly shovel us for figment junk”. And the PR after the other closures would be TERRIBLE.
Disney may be stupid but they have a BRAIN.

For Monsters I think updating on RnRC's revamp and if they have anything for their "supposed" MV3D preservation plans will cover, Monsters is something people were excited for as well so it will get good engagement. Might see some negative audience reaction to MV3D being thrown out there but might be subdued by these concessions.
Cars I'm more interested because not a single person at these panels was interested in or applauded that even before the news of what it was replacing, it's such a non-park fan addition that I don't know how you can make anyone in that panel audience react positive to it now.

It's already basically closed. They keep carving out chunks of it for more meet and greet space. It's half of what it was five years ago, and like a quarter of what it was in 1999. I think that brings us to an eighth of what it was when it was upstairs

Admittedly I kinda walked by it because most the activities were broken. But still.
Okay maybe it does need a mercy kill.

We have our rooms booked there for the event and will be our first time staying there and is low-key one aspect I am really looking forward to
we have visited to eat there (3 Bridges is one of our favorites) but never stayed there

I can't help but notice that this event is listed as a "Gold Member exclusive" event this year. Has this always been the case? I've never attended Destination D23, but I seem to remember it being open to general members as well.
If this is the new policy, it definitely doesn't bode well for the D23 Expo next year. Every Expo, they've been trying harder and harder to upsell the Gold Membership.
I've commented to friends that it seems like Disney is slowly trying to push their biggest events into GM-exclusives, forcing you to get the Gold package in order to attend. I saw the writing on the wall with the recent introduction of the new "cheaper" Gold Member tier. So has it finally happened? If so, that just seems really gross. I understand they do this for smaller, more intimate events throughout the year, none of which I've been compelled to get the GM for. But to pay for a Gold Membership on top of the $200-$1,000 for a D23 ticket, and the only "perk" is the privilege to attend (not even a discount is offered to GMs anymore) and access to a special resting area? That really rubs me the wrong way.

I thought Destination D23 was always Gold Member - though the member can usually get tickets for a guest. The Expo you didn't have to be Gold for
