I’m sorry to be posting their crap here, as they do often make stuff up, but this is funny, according to them this was disneys response:
Yup, that tone should absolutely put any questions to rest. Not defensive at all. And it makes total sense that a scheduling conflict is keeping the CEO of one of the worlds largest entertainment conglomerates away from one of the company’s premiere events. Awesome job PR team!

Maybe if they promised Bob he could kick a golden retriever or tie Disney’s name to sports gambling he’d show up.

An event that's been on the calendars for months, mind you. It's absolutely hilarious.

That’s not fair. Southwest canceled his flight, too.

Rumored Universal Epic Universe ride that appears to have been moved to Universal Studios Florida, occupying the existing Fear Factor Live theater spot (which is adjacent to Diagon Alley).

Supposed to be a "mass VR" broomstick riding attraction.
How cool! I knew plans had shifted. And Potter is now also going in EU and not Fantastic Beats?

A hopeful moment of Schadenfreude doesn't make a baseless speculation (by a site that declares itself at war with Disney) true.

The D23 crowd are hyped about Disney. Things announced in the past that left most of us on this forum puzzled or saddened got big cheers at D23.

As long as Chapek doesn't announce any bad news, he'd be cheered over and over again for any good news. Announce FoF return date? Cheers. Announce a night parade? Cheers. Show off footage of Cosmic Rewind? Cheers.

Then he leaves the stage not mentioning DG+ or ILL or trams.

No boos.

IDK...............With all the effort Disney's trying to cover for Chappie here, let's hope the same effort goes into PTN's Announcement!! It'd be nice to finally end that Fiasco at WDW! Even if DHS gets it! An End date to the Small World Holiday Flood might help TWDC as well! I'm not as anti Chappie or anti That Other Site as some are on here so forgive me but you can't tell me D23 wasn't on the top Chappie 's list for months!!! And now Disney's going after TC for the sudden lack of Chappie at D23! Come On!!!!!

Unless Chappie has a Family Emergency(which is always possible, let's be honest here)there's no excuse for this!!!!

Be on the lookout for someone who looks like this, though....

I really don't believe there is a scheduling conflict.
