We've been politely asked to keep politics out of this
"California ignored federal immigration, marijuana, gun control and gay marriage laws and by doing so, the country followed them and now the fed’s have fallen into line with California’s ideals. Florida is using the same playbook and it will end the same. California is no longer the engine of change…Florida is. Hey, most of the Californians are here anyway."Au contraire mon frere, we’re not taking about the country, we’re talking about Florida.
We've been politely asked to discuss only the merits of the case and what affect the outcomes may have on Disney on several occasions. With all due respect, this is nothing else but a political issue. How do you keep politics out of it? It’s like keeping God out of religion. Kind of pointless.
Speaking from production experience with process documentation that is to be brought up every cycle because the process varies: people don't always open it until there's an inspection. And them come to find out their training was lacking. But inspections do review procedures- which if different could have avoided the human mistakes and/or had other checks in place that could have caught the first error before the trains collided
You mean like those in depth inspections of the PIU pedestrian bridge that collapsed or maybe the inspections of the Surfside condo? Yeah, I feel a LOT safer now…I do feel safer that state mandated inspections are now enforced. Boeing did their own inspections for years and we know what the results of that experiment happened.

I did a business study on them. The TSA inspections were contracted out to Boeing. It’s actually quite the study on corporate governanceYeah, suggest you read up on what led to the problems with the 737 Max. Starting with when Boeing purchased McDonnell-Douglas.
TSA?I did a business study on them. The TSA inspections were contracted out to Boeing. It’s actually quite the study on corporate governance

I find it fascinating to be honest. From the band aide solution of adjusting the engines to the lack of training of pilots to save costs.. to the malfunction that happened in flight but was averted by a standby pilot only to take the same damn plane and fly it right away.. this time crashing. My aeronautical engineer dad was a senior project engineer at M-D for 30 of his 40 years in the business. I'm quite familiar with Boeing and how the merger affect the resulting company.

Fascinating yet scary.

If I were to guess the three perceived laws:I'm curious to read what 3 laws TWDC violated.
If I were to guess the three perceived laws:
1. Florida Sunshine Law (public notice)
2. 4C: Repealing RCID
3. 9B: Re-establishing RCID as CFTOD
I'm stabbing in the dark here. CFTOD's suit claims that the RCID development agreement was noticed behind the scenes and violated the intent of the Legislature or whatever. You don't have to like it but noticing on page 59D of the classifieds or comparable is still following the law and the RCID was still in effect when the agreement was made. What the Legislature did afterward was essentially file a "glitch bill" to ensure that didn't happen again. But what Disney did was lawful at that the time they did it.1. The Charter would govern. And if not, it would be the notification requirements in the section of statute pertaining to special districts and/or development agreements.
2. That's an interesting perceived violation by TWDC.
3. Same as #2
As a recorded property owner in RCID, I did not have to be notified of anything the RCID did. However according to CFTOD, i am supposed to be notified of all sorts if things. SO WHY HAVE THEY FAILED TO MAIL ME ANYTHING? Are they violating the rules they claim the RCID failed to follow? Also all the BS that Chairman Martinez keeps spouting is totally crazy. He says he only wants to do what is best for the district but then complains about eveything Disney has done. Disney has a goal of 0 carbon footprint. Disney want to eliminate all waste and recycle almost everything. They recycle all wasye water and use it for irrigation. WDW is the most envirinmental development in Florida. Yes the BS board complains WDW is on its way to 100% solar and renewable energy at lower costs than FPL. YES, THE DISTRIBUTION COSTS MAY BE A LITTLE HIGH BUT THAT IS BECAUSE THE SYSYEM IS BUILT TO PREVENT POWER OUTAGES. Who wants outages when you are on vacation?I'm stabbing in the dark here.
