Maybe it's just me, but I feel Disney is getting stale...or too big for its britches. Some headaches for them might not actually be a bad thing, if it leads to improvements overall. So far, I don't see anything catastrophic that has actually happened. So until something horrible happens a result of this, I'm not going to go into panic or petty mode. Just let it run its course. A sit-down meeting between Iger and DeSantis will probably solve everything for both sides. It's the best optics for both sides.

Yes, let’s completely ignore all of the motivations and desires outcomes and just pretend it’s something else that can just be easily accomplished.

There's a difference between a government trying to rein in a company or industry which practices cause harm (think banks' lending policies which led to the 2008 financial crisis) and a government trying to impede the operations of a company, one that's a MAJOR contributor to that government's economy, for purely political reasons, mainly to further the political aspirations of the CEO of that government.

There was a chance for that months ago, but when it got leaked that a few tweaks would be made to RCID but nothing major, the governor ratcheted up the rhetoric and now it's a high stakes game of chicken. Disney would have been happy to work this out in the shadows, but I think that time has passed.

There is plenty of knowledge on monorail systems. There are several monorail systems in place currently running that are subjected to regular state inspections. One of the largest is in Jacksonville. It is run by the Jacksonville transit authority. The monorail at wdw has been due for a track replacement since 2008. Instead of replacing the track they chose to put it off and run it at reduced speeds. The track replacement at Disneyland was forced to be done by the state because it was in such disrepair and that track was newer than the one at wdw

I think you have some misstatements here. The Disneyland track was not replaced, much less under orders from CalOsha. The Disneyland beamway is older than the WDW beamway. And always has.
Where do you find that the WDW monorail has been due to a track replacement since 2008.

When the monorails have been down, Disney has had both Disney busses and hired tour busses running loops between the TTC and MK.

Everything the new board is going to do will be considered as retaliation by the majority here...because it is pretty much always going to be connected back to the original decision from the gov and legislature to end the RCID...I 100% get that. How can you separate the two, at least at this point?

Perception is reality. Let's not pretend the governor and the politically aligned legislature aren't aware of how their actions look when approached comprehensively.
