I know there isn't a review on this site, but I've looked on others (including the Site that shall not be named), and there's nothing. Nada. Zip. The Tiana dessert party had reviews. This 7 hour tour, that takes up over half of a park day, has nothing. I don't get it.
Is it too much to hope that everyone is able to see that the Emperor has no clothes?

I do think it would be cool to have your own personal Star Wars Geek in Launch Bay with you. Even with JTA I had to google who the woman was. Seventh Sister, I've never heard of her before.

I bet the 'all in the know' guide knows less than most hardcore Star Wars fans. I bet they'll just be regular plaids who have had to watch all the films, do a quick test about them, and learn some 'fun facts' to tell guests, rather than having a particularly extensive knowledge about the obscurities of the franchise.

Actually, I'd assume it's college programers who are huge fans themselves. It isn't hard to find college students that love star wars.

I doubt it. Disney does not like to use "huge fans" as spokespeople. They would rather have tour guides who knew nothing about Star Wars so they could teach them from scratch to say exactly what Disney deemed appropriate.

Well, IMO FP+ sucked out all of the spontaneity! Still, can't imagine losing 7 hours of park time on this tour. I wonder if anyone took the tour on the 2nd.
We were down at WDW the first part of December and FP+ had zero impact on our trip. We were all over the place during the spur of the moment things. Now, if I was a large family trying to plan out character meals six months out...........that's another story and sounds like a nightmare.

Don't worry. My daughter is in college. She grew up quoting the original films and openly mocks the prequels. There's hope for many of these young padawans. :)
Agreed. Many young adults who saw the prequels in theaters are bright enough to fairly evaluate the quality of the entire franchise. Many of them saw 4 through 6 on video tape before heading out to theaters to see the prequels.

Id prefer a tour guide who did not grow up with Phantom Menace as their first Star Wars film.
Despite what the internet would have you believe, Prequels are seen fairly positively worldwide. In some cases, like China, they like them more then the originals.

Not to mention that the further we get into Disney's Star Wars, the more re-evaluation of the Prequels will occur and we'll see more people realize that the Prequel Hate emperor RedLetterMedia has no clothes between the TFA Plinkett video being mostly bashing the prequels again and spending three videos defending their negative positions on Rogue One because their audience started disagreeing with them.

I completely realize that my lack of confidence is strictly due to my own personal concern and does not exactly give the youth of our day a fair chance. It was good to see @TeriofTerror 's response about her daughter tho.

FWIW, while I may not feel that the prequels were the best of the saga, they will always hold a special place in my heart as they were the first Star Was movies my wife and I saw together for the first time. At the time, I was just excited that the series was being continued. I still feel the same about Disneys new path with the series. Im excited that we have so much to look forward in terms of Star Wars movies, theme park experiences and anything else Disney churns out.

I know I did. But I reevaluated them after the fact since I was just a kid at the time.
I grew up watching 4-6, saw PM when it came out on VHS, and at the time, I really liked it. I didn't think it was on par with the originals, but I never thought it was bad (though I did find Jar Jar to be annoying). I liked Clone Wars, and it was the first Star Wars movie I was allowed to see in theaters, but I didn't like it as much. I think I've only seen Revenge of the Sith a handful of times. They're not the worst movies, but given the choice of the prequels or Rogue One & TFA, I'm picking the newer films.

I didn't see episodes 1-3 until 2015.lol

I do think there's plenty of young people who know more, or at least just as much, about Star Wars as my generation does.

I don't know why people are thinking that Disney would want to hire a non SW fan for a tour guide position. It seems highly unlikely.

Any news about how yesterday's tour went? I did a quick online search and found nothing.
The only thing I can think of is maybe people aren't writing reviews. I've done several "extras" over the years and have never posted a review of one.
When I was debating on doing a VIP Premium tour I searched the internet for posts on it. Not many to be found. Same with the "in room experience" but I personally know several people who have done one...they're just not going in a website to post about it.

I don't think this new SW tour is on a bloggers radar, the biggest draw is the JTA aspect, so I'm sure it's mostly families with kids in the 4-8 year old range.

So you are saying that the only people interested in this tour are paying a minimum of $258( adult +kid) and wasting 7 hours of their park time so that their child can participate in Jedi Training Academy? Really?
