Saw the premier on Friday. I was just going to try to find a spot kind of last minute for the second showing but the weather was on my side. It poured early in the day, not nearly as bad as yesterday though, and the park was not crowded. I scoped the parade route about an hour in advance of the first run and it wasn't bad at all so I picked up a sandwich at Jolley Holiday and was even able to snag a bench seat just 45 minutes in advances

So with these being the same floats, does that mean they were driven across the country? So one night at a hotel in Utah you could find the drum float in the parking lot?
There was an article on Disney Parks Blog that talked about carefully packing the floats into on I think 8 trailers so they could be. Thought across the country

Why not adopt a policy similar to the one at Tokyo Disney Resort, where guests aren't allowed to camp out for major shows and parades until 60 minutes before showtime? Even on busy days, this keeps the walkways uncluttered and allows for walk-up viewing shortly before the shows. It's a cultural difference that would take a while to adapt to (especially with reserved seating, which essentially requires you to be there a full hour early), but I think it would be a huge improvement

Then again, TDR mostly deals with Japanese guests who are known for following rules and being respectful of other guests and authority figures. I think the US CMs would have a much harder time enforcing such a rule

No one queues better than the Japanese except for the British. Americans would fall in line as soon as Guest Services tells them to take hike.

Us purple dragons travel in pairs.
Like policemen.
:D

Oh, and 'The Black Hole' is a fabulous slice of the 70s.
Disney's 'Star Wars' bandwagon jump.
I get it out once in a while when in the mood.
Dr. Reinhardt steals every scene he is in, as does his tin plated pal Maximilian.
Roddy McDowell voicing V.I.N.C.E.N.T is a hoot and worth the effort to watch it at least once.

And how about that famous ending...?
The film is almost forty years old, and I am still trying to figure out what that was all supposed to be about....

Anyway, sorry for the thread drift.
Back on topic...move along, these are not the biological androids you are looking for....

When I was a kid I had the story record to the Black Hole. I think I memorized most of the movie lines and can still recite them back to you. I'm still working on my Black Hole action figure collection. The figures are really expensive on the open market. $40 for any of the humans and $100-200 for Vincent and Max. Old Bob goes for about $1200 while the humanoid with the cobra commander face plate is upwards of $10K. Crazy prices.
