I've officially booked my trip out west to see the MSEP. And yes, I know I'm a nerd! ;) But between my beloved parade coming home and RDCT returning, the nostalgia pull was too strong to resist. I've seen the parade in MK, DLP, and DCA, so it only seemed fitting to finally see it in its original setting. Can't wait!

It makes for a great movie in my book but the I'm a big MST3K fan.

As space sci-fi movies go The Black Hole is awful. When it came out I was so excited and I loved it until I was old enough to know better.

How am I just realizing that there are two Figments here? :)

Us purple dragons travel in pairs.
Like policemen.
:D

Oh, and 'The Black Hole' is a fabulous slice of the 70s.
Disney's 'Star Wars' bandwagon jump.
I get it out once in a while when in the mood.
Dr. Reinhardt steals every scene he is in, as does his tin plated pal Maximilian.
Roddy McDowell voicing V.I.N.C.E.N.T is a hoot and worth the effort to watch it at least once.

And how about that famous ending...?
The film is almost forty years old, and I am still trying to figure out what that was all supposed to be about....

Anyway, sorry for the thread drift.
Back on topic...move along, these are not the biological androids you are looking for....

Not to mention the action figures for the Black Hole cost a lot of money now. The humans are typically around $40 each while the droids command up to $100. The limited release humanoid and old Bob cost as much as a small car.

Completely off topic but the fact that The Black Hole hasn't gotten a release on Blu Ray is a travesty, especially considering it's somewhat of a cult classic.

Back on topic- I just planned a trip back to CA for March, will probably end up going to Disneyland. Excited to see the parade, but since I'm not a huge MSEP fan, and I still disagree with them bringing it back, I'll only see it once and the other days I'm there I'll skip it. It'll be a nice change of pace from hitting PTN, DL Forever, and Fantasmic! in one night and being able to enjoy the night time atmosphere.
