Yep! Tokyo Disneyland Electrical Parade.According to Wikipedia, TDL Electrical Parade. TDLEP ran from March 9, 1985- June 21, 1995 and was replaced by Fantillusion
The 1970s soundtrack is not returning, Don Dorsey has confirmed it. The soundtrack played at DCA in 2009 and WDW from 2010-2016 will be used.
The 2009 arrangement fixed the choreography issue as far as I know. That's another reason why they're using the 2009 arrangement instead of the 70s one.If they played the old soundtrack, wouldn't that have to likely do a whole bunch of rechoreogaphing? Or is it all the same just different instrumentation?
It still bugged me that when MSEP was at WDW they kept "Disney's Electrical Parade" the entire time and doesn't flash.And the drum float will flash between two phrases;
DISNEYLAND PRESENTS --- MAIN STREET ELECTRICAL PARADE
Very classy touch, Disneyland. And it's a good sign that TDA is paying this much attention to little details like that.
I'm having a feeling they won't make those changes.Nice to see the drum restored.
Now they just have to remove the 'pixie dust' side panels that were added some years ago, and play the original 1970s soundtrack.
If they wanna go 'retro', they need to go all the way.

You mean "Parade soundtrack", but I'm still a bit annoyed that they used the Dreamlights soundtrack instead of the original version. I do like the new music for the Pinocchio and Cinderella sections.If this debuts without the proper audio, I won't go see it. Yes, it's awesome that they restored the proper parade title, but that won't mean anything if we don't get the ride soundtrack.
It's even heard during the newer commercial promoting the returnThe 1970s soundtrack is not returning, Don Dorsey has confirmed it. The soundtrack played at DCA in 2009 and WDW from 2010-2016 will be used.
I know the new soundtrack that has been used since 2009 was missing the other notes from the original Tokyo versionIf they played the old soundtrack, wouldn't that have to likely do a whole bunch of rechoreogaphing? Or is it all the same just different instrumentation?
Wait there was choreography issues?The 2009 arrangement fixed the choreography issue as far as I know. That's another reason why they're using the 2009 arrangement instead of the 70s one.
I don't know why but I'm looking forward to seeing the first videos going up of the parades debut next week. I just love hearing the crowd reaction.7 days until the parade returns! 6 if you count the upcharge event.
