I'm still baffled why WDW doesn't just copy and paste PtN.

I hope WDW doesn't copy and paste PTN. The second electrical parade for WDW was formerly Spectromagic (Which was a beautiful and made the night at the parks extra special) and now that the parade is no longer around. I seriously hope WDW can come up with a new electrical parade that is more creative and whimsical. If WDW does copy PTN then it would be out of place. I know we can never get Spectromagic back but the designs for the floats look fantastic. Especially the finale

Copying PTN may not be as easy as we'd assume - for a reason that is 100% speculation on my part. PTN was actually built for HKDL and DL at the same fabricator in China and I don't know if there are logistics that would prevent it from being fabricated elsewhere. PTN barely made its opening date at DLR due to shipping delays (huge port shutdown in LA at the time), and shipping to WDW from China would be even more logistically magical.

I suspect what it really boils down to is that Kalogridis doesn't like PTN and will hold out for something unique to WDW, which is fine in my book, although they need to hurry up.

I think Pete's Dragon should be given the honor of starting the blaze. Real flames could erupt from his nostrils until all the floats are a-flaming. I might make a special trip down just for that.

You will never find a person with more love and affection for the MSEP than me, but even I can agree that the show is way past its prime and needs to go. At this point it almost feels like a joke that it's running at DLR again. What is this, maybe the fourth time it's come back since the first run in 1972?

At least it's fitting that MSEP is ending for real in 2017 as the same place where it first started.
