No Dumbo? Expected. No big loss.
No Blue Fairy? Ok...I can live with that. I have since it came to WDW in 2010.
No Tink? Now we're in dangerous territory.
But to ditch those things and still have the DreamLights version of the music? UGH!!!!!!!!

Pretty much my feelings. It would be nice to see if I were planning a visit to DLR, but this isn't compelling enough to make a special trip to see. I'll just wait until Paint the Night returns.

My money is on the 2009 DCA/2010 WDW version of the soundtrack. I always forget that there was one bar of three beats (instead of 2 or 4) in the original that drove the performers and everyone crazy from a choreography standpoint. They added the missing extra beat in the Dream Lights version when Greg Smith did it in 2001.
The same situation was used for half of the Alice section that was missing a few beats.

Yeah, it's a missing beat from the 1:04 that was sampled from the original Baroque Hoedown, so it pretty much affected all of the floats. Don Dorsey always said that musically he loved it because it allowed him to do some unique things and some cool flourishes in that extra 3/4 bar. All of it was much to the dismay of the other folks in entertainment, haha!

Here's a comparison with the original soundtrack of Dreamlights and the current used for MSEP complete with other units.

I'd LOL if the MK got it back after Disneyland was done (I'm not starting rumors and don't know anything, but we all know how the Orlando parks operate, though I doubt they'd pay or even if DL would give it up despite not using it come summer). They'd be sad tears because as much as I love the Main Street Electrical Parade it is beyond time to move on. Hopefully the MK gets a new parade but I won't hold my breath for it anytime soon unless the insiders have some new news on that front.
