Oh, I adore Palo's monkfish! I'm trying to be more adventurous with my food selections (and where better than a cruise?) and when the server said it had a similar consistency to lobster - I was sold! It was amazing (I'm getting hungry just thinking about it). However, I'm glad I didn't know what a monkfish actually looked like while I was eating it - that's one scary looking fish! :)

You sound a lot like me, when it comes to trying to be more adventurous about food. We first encountered monkfish at Jiko in the Animal Kingdom Lodge. Sadly, it's no longer served there. So when I saw it on the Palo menu, I had to get it!

I never bothered to wonder what it looked like in the wild, but I just looked it up and you're right, that's an ugly fish!!
