Please tell me you mean the person who plays BigBird, not the great yellow one himself (or herself, I was never sure).
I've always wondered what the criteria was for picking a speaker. Last year we went to West Point's commencement & VP Cheney was the speaker...a good fit. At my DH's commencement they had some very strange guy...nobody could really understand why he was there.

It's the guy who plays him. That's kinda worse actually, if Big Bird is doing the speech, at least be in costume. :lol:
