They haven't even dared put the live action Wind in the Willows film to Disney+ yet..

I didn't realize Disney was in any way involved with this film. I know it was a passion project for Terry Jones. Maybe Disney still held the film rights to the story and characters and he needed to go through them?

Original Figment was fine in the context of the ride, but I don't think he works without Dreamfinder. I've never really understood why people are desperate to keep him around if Dreamfinder isn't included.
Mostly nostalgia for me. Memories of a better Imagination pavilion. This past June I was explaining to my son what it used to be and he was amazed. In its current incarnation, I'd be fine with a re-imagined pavilion. It'd be sad, but it's sad currently. 😔

With Day 1 of the expo over, and Day 2 starting soon. How are we all feeling about the parks panel tomorrow? Any updated predictions based on what has been shown at the booth?

They were just a distributor. According to Wiki..
When the film first appeared in the U.S. under its original title, it got pushed aside due to distributors' problems giving it only a limited release in late 1997 and very little promotional material was published. Takings in the UK had been low because the film had largely been shown only in the afternoon. Subsequently, New York papers wondered why such a wonderful children's film was dumped by distributors. The New York Times published a very positive review by Lawrence Van Gelder In 1998, however, Disney released the film on VHS and later on DVD in 2004, but they changed its name to Mr. Toad's Wild Ride, to tie into their theme park ride at Disneyland (the Walt Disney World version of which closed in 1998).

At the time of the film's US release Terry Jones, who was working on a documentary in New York, was told by telephone that the film was being shown in a cinema in Times Square Jones rushed down to the square only to discover that the film was showing at "one of those seedy little adult theatres

Don't mean to be pessimistic but there are enough projects going on for them to fluff out a presentation without actually announcing anything.

They'll talk briefly about some bits that are already open
They'll hype up Tron when any fan and his dog have already watched the POV from Shanghai on youtube
They'll spend ANOTHER 15 minutes talking about bleeding Moana at Epcot. They really are overdoing this so expect this to continue
Splash Mountain details
Fantasmic date - packaged as new, when they've just been cost cutting for 2 years
Paris expansion (Teacups - great work Disney)
Zootopia in Shanghai
Frozen in Hong Kong
Mickeys in DLR, and new Avengers ride
Some vague announcement on the 100th

They'll announce enough "new" details without a whole lot of new.

Bob wants a splash for the 100th.

Wish I could beeeeEEEEEeeyEEyeee...

Every* pop rendition of a Disney song ever has been over-sung. At least we're keeping the tradition alive.

*Except for Kacey Musgraves' "All Is Found."

They passed up 5pectr0Magic so I don't trust any decisions they make in this regard.
Agree. The one thing I can’t stand that every singer seems to do now over the last 20 years.. whether for the star spangled banner..classic Disney songs..etc is the eeeeeaaaaaheee stuff after every line. Just sing the song. If you have a great voice people will know. Is why all these reality singer shows I can’t stomach. All doing the exact same thing.

I'm sticking with my original prediction. 1.5 surprises that get people excited, but a crappy timeline.
Really not a lot that will impact Epcot Universe, if that ends up being the case. I want them to succeed and be that company that is above the other theme parks. I remember when I was kid being blown away with how well their rides were with all the AAs and innovative. A lot of that is missing now. Its now a lot of screens. I know Universal uses a lot of screens but at least they use thrill to make up for it. Slapping IP on something doesn't make it good.

But "Disney" is counting on park guests' affection for its IPs, because that allows it to create a below-par park attraction and get away with it. That's why we get underwhelming stuff like the Little Mermaid ride and the Pooh ride. They have plastic fish glued to walls and wooden cutouts in them, but hey, it's Ariel and Tigger! Be happy, you peasants!
