Wish I could share numbers but the contrast of merch with Figment versus the non-Figment equivalent is staggering. Like, shockingly different.

I can take this. 82 Figment had that childlike curiosity but got over the top, at times. Modern Figment is a scourge that shouldn't exist the way he does.

When I hear people saying "we want Figzilla back" I recoil because we got that when the park realized they made a oopsie and this was the bronze prize we got as a "sorry, this is the best we can do".

That said, I selfishly don’t want the remakes to stop until I get a decent Prydain adaptation.

A decent Prydain adaptation wouldn't be a remake of the Disney animated Black Cauldron, though. A new attempt at those books isn't the same thing as their live action remakes.

I also wish they'd do a good Prydain adaptation. There were reports that they'd reacquired the rights and were working on something several years ago, but obviously nothing has happened. I can't figure out why so many other mediocre YA series have gotten attempts and one of the best is still untouched outside of that botched animated film.

Original Figment was fine in the context of the ride, but I don't think he works without Dreamfinder. I've never really understood why people are desperate to keep him around if Dreamfinder isn't included.

There's already a second attempt at Percy Jackson in the works.

I suppose that's contemporary, though, and not some old stuff from the 1960s.

Paris managed to turn 30 into a stunning (and insanely marketable) logo and for the 100th we get a generic font / infinity sign with absolutely no creativity?

If this is the best design they can come up with to celebrate 100 years I have a feeling this anniversary is going to be as “special” as WDWs 50th.

Every* pop rendition of a Disney song ever has been over-sung. At least we're keeping the tradition alive.

I can live with a riff of the melody, but only after it is performed 'straight' at least once. Which is typical of Broadway.

What I can't stand is a cover of a well-known song and the main theme is never sung straight but is all riff.

So, I'd have to hear the whole song to judge.

The remakes are definitely getting long in the tooth at this point but this on intrigues me.
