Yikes! Maybe I did win the lottery, but I have no idea how it was determined that I wanted the D23 presentations above the others. There didn’t seem to be a way to rank which category was your priority.

I struck out like you last time, but for what it’s worth I still got into all the panels I wanted in 2019. I even doubled up on Legends and the D+ afternoon panel. I was arriving to wait for the latter and figured I’d see what would happen if I jumped into the formers line last minute.

I suspect it did actually rank the order one picked the categories as I went out of my way to rank the hall D23 categories the first for each day.

Beat what I got: NOTHING I tried for - no panels, no signings, no giveaways. Instead, they assigned me a panel I HADN'T requested and you couldn't pay me to attend (Disney Channel: The Magical Musical Panel or whatever it's called).

Seriously. I even asked them what was going on and they said that due to popularity, not all guests would get the panels they requested (which I understand), but instead some might get panels they hadn't requested.

My sister and I really wanted to attend the Marvel Studios and Lucasfilm panel on Saturday and we figured at least one of us would get in but we didn’t. We are going to hope for the best and attempt the standby line.

Well this does answer my question in some ways! Apparently when your number gets called the system fills up all three days with the next available ‘choice’. 2019 did the same except manually by waiting and drip feeding into the system to get choices.

I prefer the lottery (not strictly because it worked better for me), but because I didn’t spend hours in an online queue. Like last time I think it’s unfair that its feast or famine. Each day should have its own separate lottery calling, ensuring you at least pull an ok number for one of them.

I think we can safely say I was a high number, @vikescaper moderate and you were bottom of the barrel. 😂

I am happy you got so much but seems kinda crappy others for nothing. Like you said, it's a lottery but might be good if they try to get everyone into one thing they wanted first (or like one of the big events first), then for their seconds etc
