and if you look at the official d23 spotify playlist (which @FigmentJedi pointed out)...
400162

I think it shows that there will be a lot of happy people on this board come Sunday.

technically speaking no one is supposed to record it or stream it. That being said, last D23 I found someone live streaming it on periscope and watched it live on there. I’m sure there will be people live streaming even though they aren’t supposed to.
The Parks and Resorts Panel was allowed to be live streamed in 2017, I was there and asked the Cast Members. Animation was not allowed and we had to store our phones in a sealed envelope.

IF what's going on with Journey Into Imaginations is announced, it will get the biggest crowd reaction of the night. And I think they'll announce it because I think they'll really want to hear the cheers.
Lol...love the avatar.

And yes...one thing that has a much higher intrinsic value than than what it would appear to glean on the surface is the imagination pavilion.

It can be done as a revolutionary new theme park ride...AND a bridge to the past of Epcot.

And contrary to the opinion it’s all about the legions of “new fans” and their superfluidity...we still gots the money...and we “go away” at Disney’s peril for probably 20-30 years still

I'm curious, Disney advertises that queuing overnight is a thing at D23. With the reservation system at capacity this year for all the events. Especially P&R, do you believe 40 minutes prior to the start of the event will be enough this year? Honestly how early do these fans line up?!

From the general reading I've done here related to THIS years Event, and the fact this is the first time in its history the Expo is sold out for all three days, 40 minutes probably won't cut it this time around!
😆

I felt extremely lucky getting into the Parks & Resorts panel just standing in the standby line since people had begun lining up at 11am that day for the close seats.
40 minutes worked for me...and they still were letting a lot of people in behind me who had arrived later.

But that was 2015.
This is the 2019 Expo.

The earlier you get in the standby line, the better shot you have of getting decent seats.
Depending on what the line looks like at any given time, you may well want to jump into it just to get into the room.
You don't have to 'overnight' it however.
I don't recommend 'overnighting' for anything related to any aspect of the Expo, but that's my own personal take.

This year I'm sure there will be high demand to get into the Parks panel on Sunday, perhaps even more so then in years prior due to the planned reveal of several Epcot redevelopment projects.
When I went in 2015, the Parks panel was a high priority for many and I seriously didn't expect to get in.
But it did, luckily.
So if it's a 'must see' panel for you, make it your priority on Sunday!

Good luck, and have a great time!
Stay calm, and try not to get overwhelmed by the massive crowds.

The event is certainly popular...but I fail to see why the size of the crowd would extend the “business” portion of it??

It’s not as though they’re gonna roll out another billion dollars in financed debt because the pin trading is off the hook 🤪

I hope for a lot of new park tweaks...I really think it has to continue to get some of their momentum back in the Orlando market...

But I also think (and apparently the board moderators agree in their article)...that people are taking the last two as “policy” as opposed to “exception”.

The management is about the stock price...multi-billion dollar infrastructure investments won’t align with that indefinitely.

Not Mike. Stop instigating fights. That's the reason this board has a terrible and toxic reputation.

So not true. Having been here a decade, I’m a balanced and nuanced voice between dusters and skeptics, generally positive and pro WDWMAGIC community and not remotely toxic.

You’ve been here 48 hours and tried to support a very spirited agenda that supports the Snyder divide and conquer agenda.

You may know Disney, but I know corporate politics. You are positioning intra-corporate warfare. Start being transparent and maybe we will respect you.

COP will see a big update but it will still be COP. BTMRR will get the effects it should have gotten a long time ago. Buzz will be a change for the worse, IMO. Haunted Mansion will look better than ever with an old friend making an appearance in Florida for the first time.

You could make a "big update" to COP and bring the fourth act only into 2008. What it needs is a full rework so that it ends in 2035.

The BTMRR changes and tech upgrades that Disneyland got five years ago? Or something else?

Why would you respond to him?

Because it seems to be that he is the same person attacking and outing you.

Is he? I honestly can't keep track. Seriously. You should see my inbox here, it's been nuts for 36 hours. :D

Hey @HmmmmmMMMmm have you been attacking me? I can't keep track. Just shoot me something in my mailbox if you want to attack me, because that's the only thing I can barely keep up with lately. But realize we'll probably be friends by the end of the attack.

But back OT, at this point they can't just "update" the 4th scene of COP beyond the 2001 finale' or whatever it was supposed to be when they last redid it in 1994. They need to redo the entire thing so that it ends in 2035, at least.

It's going to take a full rewrite to get COP back to a relevant attraction instead of just a museum piece playing to lost tourists looking for AC and some Disney nerds looking for Walt in the swamp, two demographics that combined barely fills 25% of its hourly capacity. And all run by badly trained new-hire CM's who don't know what they're doing.

If TDO wants to just keep it limping along embarassingly like this for another 20 years, then sure, update the 4th scene to look like a bizarre time jump from 1947 to 2027, Presented by Best Buy.

But really, if they're serious about keeping COP around for awhile, the entire 20 minute show needs a full redo and rewrite, keeping honest to the 1964 original of course. And get some better trained CM's in there to operate it, please.
