Current state of Body Wars?

We all know one of the most popular thrill rides at Epcot is closing for the summer, Test Track.

Test Track is closing on April 16th and reopening sometime in September.

Does anyone know the current state of Body Wars? Could they repopen Body Wars for the summer?

Or how cool would it be for them to put Star Tours v1 (original film) for the summer?

I know the Star Tours idea is a little out there. But seriously, is the 4 simulators still at Epcot? And could they be worked on and used for the summer?

It would be nice to have another thrill ride this summer at Epcot.

Thoughts?

I believe some insiders have said that many of the parts have been removed and reused for the various incarnations of Star Tours.

It was rumored that site was used for the Star Tours testing. Didnt some one get in with in the last year and saw cranium command still "there"?

I remember when Body Wars first opened. They let down the ropes and we all ran to the ride. Too bad it was completely lame :(

just my opinion

I just feel having a large attraction down for a long period of time will cause the lines at the other attractions to be crazy.

Having the Wonders pavilion open would solve the crowd issues.

Even though Star Tours was basically a clone of the Body Wars ride system, Star Tours version 1.0 had show elements integrated into the ride that would make it impossible to recreate the ride using the Body Wars sims as is; even if they were still functional.

The closing of TT will be no problem! There are so many great thrilling experiences all over EPCOT!

Such as watching 'Jeopardy 1996', 'No-magination with Figment' and 'Mission: Vominator'. Plus all the great rides they've build in the past 25 years in World Showcase!

I doubt it. I was in the WoL pavilion the last time it was open in 2007 and there were so few people in it you would have thought the building had been evacuated due to a bomb threat. My family and I had a simulator all to ourselves on several occasions. The closest thing we saw to a crowd were a couple that watched the Making of Me and Cranium Command with us.

Since Body Wars is run down to the point of decay, maybe they could put some cast members dressed as walking dead zombies and have a seasonal attraction "Walking Dead with Walt" experience.

A lot of the cast members already act like walking dead zombies. That's been an ongoing criticism of a downward progression.

Body Wars (or any part of Wonders of Life in it's former glory) is not operational by any means. It's simply an open space.

We were at Epcot for the Food & Wine Festival ?(gotta check pics at home) years ago, and they used the WoL pavillion for wine tastings etc.. Just lots of potted plants in front of the que for Body Wars.. I remember walking around the pavillion, and it was alomst like a step back in time.. Just a shell of what used to be.. It's a shame they haven't developed the area into something more substantial. Any one know if they still use it for F & W Fest? We are going this october for the first time since then!

Its used for both the F&W and Flower & Garden Festivals.

Went in there a couple of weeks ago during the festival and its sad to see whats become of it. All its good for now is a nice place to get out of the heat for a few minutes.
