Yeah, we aren't allowed anything with a heating mechanism, but I've found a loophole. If your closet door is closed, they (the authorities) aren't allowed to open it. So, I've put my coffee maker in the closet and keep the door shut. You can do anything in your closet as long as the door is closed...:lookaroun

My friend keeps her hot pot under her bed in a locked box. :lookaroun She told me to just bring my coffee pot since its pretty small. The college I REALLY wanted to go to has small coffee makers in the dorms when you get there.

I've got a little 4-cup maker. Today was my first time using it. It is perfect for me. I suppose LSU made these rules because of idiots who've messed up with such devices.

I think mine makes 2 or 3 cups, but that fine by me. Its amazing that I manage to get up and get to school to buy coffee most days but I really dont think I'd be able to do that in college (Its a bit of a haul from the freshmen townhouses to the cafe.) Plus something tells me in the long run it will be cheaper.

The other school I wanted to go to had a Startbucks on campus in the student center/dorm thing. If I remember correctly though the one I am going to the closest Starbucks is in the Mall across the highway. :brick:

We already have a starbucks on my campus. It's very nice...although I don't get coffee from there much...since Starbucks is REALLY expensive!
