hmm...that sounds fair to me...although if he's a little busy over the next two weeks and can't get to any of them by then, give him a little more time.

However, I would make sure he's gone through the boxes before throwing them away...there could be stuff that he really does want to keep in there. For example, my finace would be pretty upset if I threw away a box with a bunch of his cross country medals away...so just make sure of what you're thowing away.

I will, altho I may pull out the important stuff and make him *think* I threw it away....

Can you tell I am really sick of these boxes following us around...do you know what we could have done with 55.00 a month storage for the last 8 YEARS?

DH unloaded our storage unit last month in preperation for our move...there are boxes in there (of his) that have not been unpacked inthe entire time I have known him (9 years) what would be a fair amount of time to give him to look through them before I just pitch them? I mean seriously, the seals on the boxes have NEVER been broken since I have known him, how important can the stuff be to him if that is the case?

I am thinking he has 2 weeks and anything not opened by then gets pitched.

I suggest if you intend to stay married....leave the boxes for him to go through. Let him be the one to move them from place to place if he wants to keep them. They may hold some importance to him. You wouldn't want him throwing away your stuff would you? I'm sure his is no less important.

What was I smoking when I invited people to come for MJ's birthday? We move in Sunday (Jan 22) and they get here Feb 2...sigh....

Fortunately unpacking is easier than unpacking...

Very good point...I will have to convince my fiance of this when we get married.

Well, that would work, except that we can't afford a storage unit anymore, so we have no where to put the aforementiond boxes, so something has to happen to them, either he has to go through them or they have to get tossed....

BTW, this was just frustration on my part, I have talked to him about it and he *does* know that he needs to do something about it, since the only place we could put the boxes is MJ's schoolroom...

As for my stuff, I go through all of my stuff on a regular basis (I have a rotating schedule, I know, a bit obsessive) so I never keep stuff that I ahven't used in the last three months...

Sigh, I hope there is no permanent damage, it worries me a bit that the OD was two weeks ago and I am still feeling the effects....
