I am so upset. This is awful...and i hope that stupid fan got at least one punch in the face. He deserved it for being an idiot. This is awful...objr is like the marlin's only fan. I think most of America will be sad if the Cubs lose. Wood has got to do it for us tomorrow. In fact he will do it for us (knocks on wood). Go Cubs!!!

Ahhhhh, so much for Dusty closing out games in the 8th inning... :lol: Personally, I think Baker is a horrible manger. He leaves his pitchers in way too long. When the Cubs had a 10 run lead in Game 3, he sends Prior back out there for an extra 20 something pitches... Does he realize that the Cubs have a 10 run lead!? Prior sat for 20+ minutes before he went out there in the 8th. He should have went straight to the pen in that situation.
The Marlins right now is all that great about baseball. They could have just given up being 6 outs and 3 runs down from being sent home. But no they come back and put an 8 spot up on the board. THIS is why you play the games...

Alou makes the catch, there's two outs in the inning then and the whole complexion of the inning changes. After the sac fly, there would be three outs, it would be 4-3 at worst and they are still in it. Yes, the fan is to blame, especially with the game being played at home. BUT not to the extent where he is pelted with debris and beer, though I'm not surprised that happened.

2-3 years from now, Prior is going to have arm troubles. I can GUARANTEE that. Wood has already had arm/elbow troubles. The way both of them throw put so much pressure on their arms eventually its going to catch up to them. And it's all going to be Baker's fault. NO pitcher should throw 120-130 pitches in a game. It will eventaully take its toll. You have to ask yourself, would you rather have Prior and Wood to go on and have great careers or be out with Tommy John surgery, something Wood has already had.
As for the fan, if Prior gets the job done then its a moot point. If Gonzalez doesn't bobble that ball, the fan doesn't matter. Simply, Prior couldn't get the job done.

Wood had arm trouble before Baker ever became manager of the Cubs.
If fan allows Alou to catch the ball, Gonzalez never gets hit a ground ball. Cubs are out of the inning and in the game.
You sound like a sour Braves fan to me.....
