Crystal Palace or Liberty Tree Tavern?

We prefer LTT, but if you happen to have incredibly picky eaters in your party, CP might be a better way to go, by virtue of the fact that you have so many more options.

I've never been to Liberty Tree Tavern, but have been told that the food is mediocre. I like the look on the inside; it's very homey, which is nice at night time. It's also nice because right after dinner, you can just step outside and grab a spot at one of the best and least crowded viewing locations for SpectroMagic (Liberty Square)! As mentioned above, I believe the characters include Minnie, Goofy, Pluto, Chip and Dale.

I ate dinner at Crystal Palace for the first time this past fall, and the food was fantastic! They're labeled American fare, but they also had Chicken Adobo, and Comte (which is like a thick flan), and all kinds of other wonderful things I can't remember. It does tend to have a busy feel with lots of kids as stated above. There are Winnie the Pooh and friends. I really enjoyed it, though, and would go back. It is further away from the parade route, which, closer to Main Street, tends to have more people.

Hands down Liberty Tree, the only time only time I like Crystal Palace is breakfast, plus everyone that came through Liberty last year, loved it and wanted to get in!!

I haven't been to the Crystal Palace in years.....it always seemed to be a good place to take kids to eat. But I would have to vote for Liberty Tree Tavern. Much better food, and I like the way the design of the inside more

I love Crystal Palace. The characters are not Mickey and the gang, but Pooh and his gang. There's so many Mickey and the gang character meals, but only 1(!!!) Pooh and his gang character meal.

This is a hard choice because they are so different. CP is a bit louder and feels busier than LTT, especially if you get seated in the middle of the room or near the buffet line. But it is nice to have the large choice of foods and the salad bar, especially if you are craving lots of veggies after having one too many counter service meals! But LTT is my personal favorite between the two because it is NOT a buffet. At the character buffets, my husband and I always feel like one of us misses a character or we are trying to rush to get back to the table with our food so we do not miss a character (Neither one of us wants to miss seeing our kids interact with the characters!). I also like the atmosphere of LTT....it is cozy. And I think the food is pretty good. Not "great", but good. So if really good food and choice is your top priority I would pick CP. If atmoshphere is tops than pick LTT. Or you could always just pick which characters you want to see!

Hello,

I was wondering which restaurant people would recommend for dinner between Crystal Palace and Liberty Tree Tavern? I have all my reservation made for the week and only have one night available. Any suggestions?

Thanks!

LIberty Tree has good ice cream and apple cobbler but its all stouffers out of a box. Taste good but Crystal Palace is much better .

Happymom52003 hit on the key difference. CP has lots of veggies and fruit. After several days of eating meat/potatoes/rolls, etc. with little or no veggies, its a welcomed break. Biergarten in Germany too. Lots of salads there to choose from too.
