You've picked a great time! We always go about that time. This year it is Sept 8-18. You'll notice the weekdays to be less crowded then the weekends.

You can easily get through the MK in about 4 or 5 hours during the week.

I second that... it's a great time to go. We went last year Sept. 9-16, crowds were very light with the exception of MK on the weekends. (to be expected). It was quite hot, with an afternoon thundershower pretty much daily. Have a great trip!

It might be a little more crowded than usual because the free dining offer is during this time - all the value resorts are booked solid in mid-September :)

We went last year about that time....it was fantastic! Very light crowds and we were able to do everything we wanted to do. The only Fast Passes I "needed" was for Soarin, we also used them for Buzz Lightyear, but I think the wait was pretty short even without them.

The only places that were packed were the sit down restaurants due to the free dining promotion. I hope you have your ADRs for any places you plan on eating at....if not, call now to see what you can get!

It was pretty hot, in the 90's, we didn't have any rain during our trip.

We had such a great time we are going back this year Sept 7-11 for another anniversary trip!

Have a great time!

Just to claify:
This is the third year Free Dinning has been offered, so accounts on last years crowds will still be pretty helpful to any of us Sept travelers. Also, value resorts are NOT sold out during that time frame, but rather sold out for this specific promotion. I know for our dates, we're still able to book a room at any value and even the Family Suites.

As Goofymom2 stated, expect the crowds to be found at CS and TS locations, and be sure to have your ADRs in order as walk-ins could very well be turned away at some places. That's why we love free dinning, everybody is too busy eating to enjoy the rides

We're now more worried about the weather and the heat. We're in NC with the last couple days rating at 110 on the heat index :dazzle:

As everyone mentioned perfect time to go. Light crowds you probably will be batteling some heat though, which makes this probably the seocnd best month of the year to go behind only Oct.

Oh I didn't know they did the free dining thing last year as well. And the fact that the value resorts still have rooms avail is good news. I must have heard wrong!

Sounds great guys! I Can't wait, I'm used to May crowds which are managable, but I like the idea of short lines!

We will be there Sept 14 thru the 17th flying home on the 18th. How bad re the crowds on the weekend? We usually go in May, but we are making a special trip so my daughter can do the MNSSHP before she starts "big" school next year.

Thanks!

After school starts, the parks are empty for a couple of weeks. It is a great time to go. Plus with the heat and the usual increase of hurricane activity around the late of August and September, there are less tourist and more Florida residents visiting. We go to the parks 4-5 times a week in Sept because of the low attendance.

See you in September

We like this time frame, too, and have made several Sept visits. However, be forewarned. The temp can still be pretty warm in both Sept & Oct. you should plan for 'hot' and 'hotter' and you can still expect some shower activity.

Crowd levels and queues are very manageable but stay away from MK on Sunday.

We do not do free Dining since we do not enjoy planning our day around this, but rarely do we encounter problems with table service restaurant crowding. Disney sit downs are almost always capacity.

I'm so excited about going, aren't you!? :sohappy:
