I heard that imagineer who thought up the big pink cake was promoted. :drevil:

Walt's definately frozen under the castle. If you take the behind the magic tour, they show you the magnetically sealed cryogenic vault that contains Walt, and there is room in there for the nine old men, george, the ghost in PoTC, is also frozen in there, and I think, I could be wrong on this one, that you could lease out a cryo tube for $115,000 for 99 years. I swear, they even showed me the paperwork.

CABLES?

I thought TOT utilized the same type of ride system as the Doctor Doom Tower at IOA. Electro magnets shoot the elevator up, rather than pulling the elevator up. I don't think there are any cables.

Dr. Doom uses Compressed Air to shoot you up.

Actually, that's wrong. I am 100% sure that Dr. Doom has cables. There is one (rather thin) cable on each side of the tower. The cable is attached to the car and goes through a series of pullies to get into the air tanks in the center of the tower. From there, the cable is attached to pistons that through these tanks when compressesed air is released into them, therefore leading to your car being shot to the top of the tower...So, there is cables. If i could find a picture that's clear enough to see them, I'll post it.

you actually only fall 7 stories... however, if you wanna get technical, which I do, you really do fall 13 stories, because...

199 ft is 19 stories.

6 of the stories are double length, so in reality, that's 12 stories.

12 stories + 1 extra story = 13 stories.

Its over 259 feet above sea level, but that has no bearing on this whatsoever...Trump Tower (the original one near FAO Schwartz and the Plaza Hotel) was marketed as being 68 stories even though there were less than that...apparantly some offices had 2-story high ceilings....it never mentions anything about how high it is in the trainng guides i have at home for ToT...weird....

4-security does this, not DACS.

I'm somewhat confused... taping what for info? I understand the difference between DACS and WDS, I'm just confused about what you are saying they are taping.

That's what I assumed you were talking about. I would find this highly improbable. Sure, certain locations at certain times... but the as for taping EVERYTHING, ALL THE TIME. From what I know, this is highly unlikely.

A company with secret eyes on everything would have no measurable shoplifting, trouble-making or defacing of property. Although Disney is one of the best in the world, there is no place on property that could claim this perfection or anything close to it.

Actually, what Tiggerman replied to was in refrence to a book I read (that was fiction..."The Millionaires" by Brad Meltzer) where these people someohow gain access to private areas within Disney's Intranet and want the information back, and they were told that it was recorded at DACS,. I emailed the author, and he said thats what they told him 3 years ago. The book was published this year.

I remeber hearing one back a little while ago that they were going to build a ferris wheen at Disney-MGM STudios like the one in DCA.

actually, the original artists rendering for the sourcerer's hat icon included a ferris wheel (and excluded the Great Movie Ride)

A ferris wheel in the hat would have been cool...but not if it didn't include the great movie ride behind it! They can't get rid of that!

See THAT makes so much more sense. I was taking it literally. I wasn't familiar with the book and assumed (I know -u-me) that it was NON-fiction.

Thanks and sorry for the interuption, please remain seated. This thread will begin moving momentarily. ;)
