The Ghost Rumor is Funny, If You Say it in the Middle of the Ride (No Cast Members to Hear You) the ride doesn't stop. But if You say it to a cast member they'll make the ride stop. It's Pretty Funny, Try It.

it's actually half true..

the custodial CM's at MK dump the garbage into several locations across the park, and it gets taken via the AVAC system to the main garbage bin at MK, which is located behind PoTC

If you take the Keys to the Kingdom tour, when they take you inside the utilidoors, you can see the big "tubes" and hear the garbage pass through them. :animwink:

Oh, if such a thing as anti-gravity were only possible. Then it wouldn't be necessary for flying saucers to spin... and I wouldn't be dizzy so much of the time.

Probably.

This AIN'T no rumor!

In the early 1990s, The Institute for Foreign Policy Studies argued that proliferation of missiles and warheads was likely to increase and pose an indefensible and devastating threat to the US Mainland, particularly if a launch were to occur in our own hemisphere. As part of the National Missile Defense Against ICBMs from North Korea and strategic nuclear warheads being deployed in Cuba, the Ballistic Missile Defense Organization, in conjunction with NORAD, proposed the installation of a missile silo in Central or Southern Florida armed with a short range nuclear tipped warhead aimed directly at Cuba as a deterrent against sudden and unprovoked missile launch against the United States from that island nation.

Since the water table in Florida is such to prevent an underground installation, it was agreed that an installation of a missile silo above ground was necessary and housed in an unsuspecting area so as not to cause public protest.

During the 25th Anniversary of WDW, the famous pink Castle Cake was a facade to hide the War Department's project of installing a Missile Silo inside the Magic Kingdom's Cinderella Castle...upon detection from the multi-billion dollar, newly placed techno-gyro Satellite which is capable of immediately detecting ICBM launches at the US, the strategic missile is quickly moved into place from an area deep inside Magic Kingdom's Utilidors, uprighted into position, the top 1/3 of the Castle is blown clear of the area and the missile can be launched in less than 2.5 minutes...
...after a mere 38 second flight, no more flotillas from Cuba.

...pass it on.

You are really being pulled down. There are steel "tubes" connected to the bottom of the car, and they work using hydrolics.

That's how they create the effect of weightlessness.

Correct me if I'm wrong...but didn't they say it on that "WDW: Behind the Scenes" show?

Why yes, they did... being pulled makes the weightlessness last longer though - you are being pulled down faster than you would actually freefall

I can answer the whole "where did the waltsicle" rumor come from. Paraphrased from Dave smith.

Walt was always a man to lookin to new ideas. If the ideas could in anyway help his projects or benifit the better of the human race, he wanted to know as much as he could about it. Cyrogenics was a technology he looked into. But he himself was never frozen.

My fav. rumor I heard was that they were building a hotel at the bottom of the 7 seas lagoon. you heard that right. it would be in a big glass bubble. The original rumor I heard was it would be themed after the Little Mermaid, and then recently I heard it again and now the themeing is Alantis. How would we get in the bubble? and where do we park?

Umm.. would now be the wrong time to mention that FL does have underwater hotels? And you access them via scuba dive?

13 Floors

Although far from a simulator, ToT does not send you up a true 13 floors. Why? Because the engine room above the shaft which contains the cable spindles that raise and drop the elevator is located well below floor 13.

If Disney uses those miniature versions of floors, such as on Mainstreet's facade, then yes, I suppose the ToT drop would count as 13 floors. (Just not in "real life.)

We have a combination of both here in the Peninsula of Yucatan, I guess... The rock is very solid, but we have underground rivers and sinkholes... We are only 8 meters -around 20-22 feet- above sea level. :)
