MK Country Bear Jamboree is getting new songs and acts

The Stitch IP provides Imagineering with a unique opportunity. They could base his design on either the animated or live action version depending on where he goes. Honestly, it's kind of a toss up with the Tiki Room. Tokyo's version looks fine, IMO. Though I suspect the CGI hyper-realistic version of Stitch would translate better.

Shame they could go with another one they now own...The Rio cast..

Nope..After the refurb to Hungry Bear they redid the portraits to reflect the MK update..Including Romeo..So he's not Liverlips anymore at DL and I'm sure assisted CM's have to let guests know of the name change if they have him out doing M&G's..

Two quick notes. I’ve done the Tokyo Tiki Room many times. It’s not anywhere near as fun or engaging as the original version. It gets old really fast. Disney needs to stop messing with good originals.

And having just experienced the Country Bears for the first time live since the redo - I cannot imagine a worse show. It was a terrible redo, and worse, it was a boring show. I hated everything about it. I left the theater mad. It wasn’t just bad, it was horrendous. Even the rest of the audience didn’t seem to vibe with it. The parents in the room kept trying to get their kids to engage by telling them where the songs came from, but it never connected with anyone. When parents have to coax their kids into enjoying something that was re-written specifically for them, it’s bad. I’d rather have just seen the whole thing close completely.

As someone who isnt a fan of the new show, I concur that guests are more engaged with the new show vs the old show by a long shot.

I have observed much more engagement both in person and on clips, either way it’s possible one show was disengaged but that doesn’t mean that’s the norm.

Well, again, that wasn’t the claim. Children does not just mean toddlers and having to repeatedly point out references. Grabbing attention is a primary job of entertainment offerings. The fundamental problem with everything having to be referential is that it requires the audience to know all of the references.

The point I was trying to make was that kids can act that way about anything I am positive that that’s happened in the tiki room as well does that make the tiki room bad? Definitely not!
