News Country Bear Jamboree is getting new songs and acts

Yeah hopefully they'll pick songs that would work for each bear, and they keep Big Al's trademark badly tuned guitar sounds. It's funny over the summer I listened to an album of instrumental Disney songs done in bluegrass style and it made me think of this proposal. (For example they had Friend Like Me, but the horns were done with fiddles)

Since this is happening whether you like it or not, which songs would you like to hear?

I'll start:
You've Got a Friend in Me

Scales and Arpeggios (Aristocats) maybe while they tune up

Intentionally obnoxious It's a Small World

Almost There (to connect to Tiana's Bayou)

Love is a Song (pretty obscure from Bambi) from the little trio

When You Wish Upon (because why not)

Since I'm Roger I'd love a royalty check for Cruella because these 99 puppies don't feed themselves.

I’m all for this suggestion from @WondersOfLife:
Trixie singing "I won't say I'm in love" with bunny bubbles and beula being the muses

This is a seasonal overlay that will be permanent and probably relevant to families again and merch oriented.

I have fond memories 20 years ago of my aunt telling me how funny it was. The target demographic for this attraction at that time was south eastern US families visiting Florida.

That brings up another issue with the design. The show won't have as much time to be funny and banter now will be interesting if they care at all to have it.

The songs were novelty songs and humorous. The Disney songs are meant to carry their story in the elements.

It's a continuation of the Bears now doing a Disney song review. It's a cute update. Would you rather it be gutted or be Woody's Roundup?...which would already be a dated afterthought.

Yes, I’d rather it be gutted than turned into a Disney singalong. I’d feel the same way if they decided to have the pirates in POTC start singing Let it Go or the ghosts in the HM singing Friends on the Other Side. Yes, these are Disney parks, but there’s already many, many other shows and attractions showcasing Disney movie songs. This is unnecessary and likely won’t move the needle for long on increasing guest count. If you want to change the script, then change the script, but this is not the way to reimagine what was once a unique attraction. At this point, it’ll be Philharmagic with animatronic bears and a twangy accent.

that is the key: Reimagine what was once a great attraction.
Country music has changed, What we in this day and age consider funny has changed greatly.
It is past time for a redo of sorts, but it has to be done the right way...which is the puzzle.
They need to involve the best writers, the best talent to make this work and not become a self-referential joke or the toddler humor filled disaster that was Stitch's Great Escape...
This needs to be a classic again...

I'd rather have them than not. And if they are to be refurbing Pecos Bill, it's a useful time to rip up the whole building and figure out a CBJ exit that makes sense. Perhaps even new AA's that don't need a hydraulic room and are quieter. But I don't think they would have survived the reimagining of the area without some changes.

Gut it for what? Part of the reason it hasn’t been replaced is that it doesn’t make sense to spend that much on something that cannot really draw in too many more people.
