Just make sure you don't have any likeness to the Prophet Mohammed in this type of pavilion or there may be mickey ears flying around the park. In reference to the middle eastern idea.

the AA's for American Adventure are awesome as is all the tidbits from american history and such. removing america wouldn't be cool. adding would be nice. Greece would be cool, exploring theit mythology and egypt as well that has a LOT of history. anything from the middle east would cause some tension at th park, in my opinion.

well let me clarify....i dont want any country taken out besides america but i know of others that think some of the countries should be taken out

some people have said norway....

Nonono... leave Norway be. Norwegians are the 1337 of the 1337. They can take out WDW with a single command line!

Yes... Leave Norway be. It's for the good of the WDW computer systems.

The AA is fantastic! I always tear up at the movie montage at the end. I think it is a wonderful experience for everyone, not only foreign guests.

I LOVE the India idea! I would love a mini Taj Mahal and Indian food is great!!!

I also like Eygpt and Greece. It would also be cool to have Island nations like Fiji or Jamacia.:sohappy:

I agree, if the American Pavillion was taken away, i wouldn't be to upset. For cryin out loud I'm already IN America.

Although the patrons who go to the American Pavilion are already IN America it grieves me to say that most of the people who are IN America don't know Jack Squat ABOUT America. I really like the American Adventure and I think it is the best attraction in the World Showcase. Some may argue for Maelstrom but I think that the show in every way exceeds the Wonders of China, Impressions de France, O Canada!, and El Rio del Tiempo.

There's also another reason why I think that the American Adventure along with the Hall of Presidents should be sacred cows . If you make even a cursory examination of Walt Disney's expectations on what Disneyland and Walt Disney World should be, you realize that he was absolutely passionate that people should know American History and the Constitution. Sadly, I have not seen American History taught very well in the public schools I've visited. I'm appalled at how little kids know about history.

Now I don't think that H of Pres. or Amer. Ad. should be looked at as a substitute for a good class on the fundementals of our history, but I've seen some young folk as well as older people have their curiousity struck in these attractions. I've seen some people find out for the first time that Washington and Lincoln weren't contemporaries and that the Declaration of Independence and Constitution are two seperate documents written thirteen years apart by two different men. Many people throughout the world look upon the U.S. as evil because we are the only super power in the world. But no one tries to examine WHY we're the only super power. What have we done that other countries haven't done as well to achieve the incredible prosperity that we enjoy.

I don't mean to lecture on and on but for heaven's sake DON'T TOUCH the AMERICAN ADVENTURE!!!

P.S. If you want to add other countries I think it would be great. I'd love to see Greece added with a ride where you tried to make it to the top of Mount Olympus by going through some of the labors of Hercules. But most of all, I'd like a Russia Pavilion that copied a scaled down version of St. Petersburg with a replica of the opera house.

In this theater I think it would be great if they showed on a giant screen a fast paced film showing 3 to 5 second clips of Russian performing artists. The movie could feature musicians like Vladimer Horowitz, David Oistrach, Emil Gilels, Feodor Chaliapin, and (well I could go on and on) to composers like Sergei Rachmaninoff, Igor Stravinsky, Dmitri Shostokovich and Sergei Prokovieff (Disney even owns some film footage of a meeting where Prokovieff pounded out some of the score to Peter and the Wolf). They could feature Russian dancers from Anna Pavlova to Mikhail Baryshnikov, to gymnists like Olga Corbett. Maybe some people would think that such a film would be boring but then they probably don't like the American Adventure either.

PPS. I don't think we should have the countries of North Korea, Iran, Cuba, Venezuala and Syria represented on the World Showcase. Not until they learn to play nice.

Heading for the great escape.
Perhaps this new middle eastern country could have a shop selling flags and books of matches to give it that authentic outraged feel

For some reason I've always thought Greece would be a fun country to add. I mean, they could do a reproduction of the parthenon(sp?), and a ride involving Greece's incredible mythology (maybe along the lines of the Maelstrom?), and in general I thought it seemed like a rich culture that has a lot of possibilities. :D

i just thought that the american adventure was the worst of them all

Why do you say that?

and we are already in america so i just thought that it should be taken out

The idea is that America is the host country, bringing the world together, hence the position as the keystone in the arc.

I'm just too angry at the original post to even coment on that.

Anyways:lookaroun I think an Egyptain, Australia, and something really exotic would help world showcase, let alone giving O' Canada and IdF new footage.

Well, assuming now that we're thinking of countries to be added...

I'd say Spain or Australlia, but other than that, I don't see many other possibilities, considering that the country in question would have to be one the it is unlikely the US would go to war with, would be substantially different than any of the other countries already represented, and with a financially stable economy (assuming the new country would be sponsored by it's namesake, as the current agreements are.).
