Could they repaint TTC or remodel it please?

I only drive black/black cars for the past 19 years.. I don't like multi colored floral arrangements.. I have to buy the same brand of hangers because I can't stand if they are even a slight variation in shade..I hate 'tacky' clothing-My kid never had the colorful busy character shirts as a baby, toddler, or now..I can't eat at Citricos bc the floors and chairs would make me lose my appetite...( I have the same concern with 1900 PF, but I am going to suffer though that one for the characters.) I can completely understand when someone feels that something looks tacky..bc I know how crazy I am.

But the TTC? Really? You're either arriving to head to a park, or you're coming back after a day in the parks. I don't even think I've ever paid attention to the color scheme. How do you even have time to think about it?
Because the colors look dated compared to the rest of the stuff you see at MK.

I mean sure, lets excuse bad design choices because who cares? Honestly now that they close the Monorails from 11am until 6pm you have to spend up to 45 minutes in queue for a Ferry Boat or a bus in this area... For many guests this is their first impression of the entire resort, and it is one of the worst looking theme park areas in Orlando. It would just be nice if they could at least make it look like a proper intro to Walt Disney World resort. Especially since they haven't updated the look of the place in almost 25 years.
I will find the redesign of TTC to be a missed opportunity when the park turns 50th in 2021.

I'm saying that I think there are other areas that should be redesigned first..namely the 2 restaurants that I mentioned. They are hideous in my opinion, much worse than bright colors at the TTC
It is possible to redecorate and overlay the TTC (which is all it needs) as well as fixing up your personal pet peeves too.

They do have a bit of money.

I wish! I don't hear many other people complain about the 2 restaurants though..so maybe I'm an oddball.lol. I'd much rather have Citricos being refurbished during my stay instead of Gasparilla's.

I'm special for not liking Citricos or 1900 PF..bc they are too busy looking for my own taste.
But it's ok to want the TTC changed bc of someone else's preference to color combos.

The hypocrisy is amusing.

Thanks for taking the time to quote me with a useless comment though :)

I for one would like to see a complete remodel of the transportation and Ticket Center as more of a victorian-style design with modern tech being used.

This is very pretty. It would be nice to see a similar change at TTC. I'm sure it's coming...eventually.

I have but one question. Who gets to decide what is or what is not a bad design? Is there some specific assignment given out at birth that entitles one to be absolutely correct about something that is abstract by nature? You may not like it because of personal tastes, but, that, in and of itself, does in no way mean that it is bad design. It just means that you don't like it. But, again not an overly important thing anyway, so we can move on.
Good design IS important. A consensus emerges as to whether or not a design is successful among professionals who are knowledgeable about and experienced in design (art, architecture, color usage, etc.). The consensus is never 100% or "absolutely correct" and disagreements are possible, but consensus still emerges based on experience and not merely personal opinion. In some cases there absolute clarity. For example: Claude Monet is a better painter than Thomas Kinkade (painter of light). Anyone who thinks otherwise is certainly entitled to that opinion, but that opinion demonstrates that they don't know anything about art. In this case, the original poster is absolutely correct: The TTC colors are horrid. The addition of all the tacky extras is a travesty. I can only imagine it was a misguided attempt by inexperienced designers to "freshen up" the look of the original structure on the cheap. It failed miserably.

OK, but what if I think Kinkade is better then Monet... why would that make you right and me wrong? I don't happen to think that the TTC colors are horrid. That is what you and some others THINK not what you know. Beauty is in the eye of the beholder. There is no finite definition, it is totally objective. I think that considering it is the start of the excitement of seeing the theme park show waiting ahead and not really an attraction of it's own that there is nothing out of place about it. I'm really not even sure of where you get the idea that it is a consensus in this case. Consensus of how many? A couple of people that consider themselves to be the fashion and design police? I stopped bowing to the opinions of others a long time ago.
