And....a Sleepy Hollow attraction.
I for one loved some of the classic rides, but I can only imagine the bad rap they would be getting if they were still open today. Just look at the state of CoP. Do we really think it would be any different for Mr. Toads or horizons, I doubt it, even if they had been updated it could have ended up like figment. I remember the past fondly, but I am excited to see what the future brings.
You know what's weird though? This past trip (got back on the 22nd), on the way into the Magic Kingdom by bus, one of the songs they played was "The Merrily Song" both from the ride and movie. Also, I bought a Mr. Toad pin and T-Shirt-this could (and probably is) all be coincidental for sure, but it struck me as very odd. Mr. Toad has always been one of my favorites-and really, if they just remove that Speedway-they could give us Alice, Pinocchio, and Toad, with likely room to spare.

NoNow I have never been on the original Mr Toad dark ride (I wasn't alive back then) but have heard from many people that it is one of the greatest Disney dark rides ever and that they want it back. Here are some good reasons why they should bring it back someday:
- It would be very cheap to build. Just a Fantasyland show building and some cardboard cutouts.
- It is very popular in Anaheim.
- WDW's 50th is coming in a few years, and it was one of the original rides. Maybe they could bring it back on October 1st 2021.
What do you guys think? Will the classic wild romp through places like towns, farms and Hell ever come back, or will it stay dead?
A very important point that tends to never enter the minds of adults. The common thought is "what's in it for me now" instead of how important it was to us back then. You're only a kid once and we have systematically worked to make sure that we have short adults instead of children. It is creating a world full of kids that don't know how to be kids and adults that seem to do everything in their power to block those memories for their own children. Sad!I remember as a kid it didn't matter how slow the cars were or how dumb it was, I wanted to drive car. Not just at WDW but at every amassment park I went to.

And might I add that if you worked 12 hours per day, almost every day for 51 years you'd look a little tired too.

Technically more of a sequel to just the movie itself.. Because from what I remember, you go to hell at the end of the ride.. Unless we change the theme to us trying to break Mr. Toad out of hell!
It is a Disney Wonder that Mr. Toad ever existed at all and an attraction with such a story will never be approved again: Car theft, flagrant disregard of traffic laws, contempt of court, train violence and a resulting trip to hell. The Disney Moms would never approve.
The only acceptable way for Mr. Toad to come back as a ride would have to be a completely new experience. People always seem to want old rides back but why would Disney ever go backwards? As much as I love many old rides that are no longer with us, it's all about moving forward to introduce new experiences. Don't forget that kids around now will share the same nostalgia for the current rides like we do for old ones! I wouldn't want the old Toad ride but I would be ok with a Toad themed ride that is similar but updated. I really enjoyed the zippy cars that you rode in but no thanks to the cardboard cutouts.
It has already been shortened considerably from the original and why is anyone worried about space. They have 27,000 acres of space all they have to do is use it. I will never understand why no one can recognize the enormous size of the Florida property. Nothing, and I mean nothing, should every have to be reduced or eliminated for Disney to put something new in there. It is not in anythings way. It's not that I want it to close, but it takes up way too much space in my opinion, and I think they could at least replace the longer track with bridges going over other parts of the track. Double Decker Autopia, anyone?

It wouldn't fit the areas. Wreck-It Ralph is about games and only Tomorrowland has a small link with games by Tron, eventhough thats already quite far off its theme. The only place to put it would be in some sort of Disney Animation immersive lands park or type land. Maybe even Hollywood Studios, but I don't think Wreck-It Ralph has that thing thats going to make it stay for a longer time like movies like The Little Mermaid, Lion King, Peter Pan etc.I and others here have mentioned the best spruce of up of Tomorrowland Speedway would be to change the way the cars run (no more lawnmower engines) and to turn the ride into Sugar Rush Racers from Wreck It Ralph.
