Could Disneyland's Indy ride work in Animal Kingdom?

I had a thought. (scary) I know most of us would assume that if the Indiana Jones ride would be added to WDW, it would be put in Hollywood Studios, but do you think it could possibly work in Animal Kingdom? I mean, Disneyland has it in Adventureland and what is Animal Kingdom but a really big Adventureland? Perhaps re-theme the temple a bit. Like instead of the eyes of Mora (I think that's what it's called) perhaps it could be the eyes of a lion god or something to keep up with the animal theme. I really think with the ride's lush jungle and temple atmosphere that it would work much better in Animal Kingdom than Hollywood Studios. Does anyone agree?

I think it could work in Asia at DAK, but CTX is the big road block. At this point, we'll be lucky if we ever get it at DHS.

CTX = Countdown to Extinction, original name of the current Dinosaur ride.

Thematically it might work (though the connection to any animals would have to be added to the ride) I can't see how putting it in Animal Kingdom would work. Its the same ride system as Dinosaur, but if they put a clone of the one in DL in it would be about 1.5 million times better than Dinosaur. That would kill attendance at Dinosaur or at least negatively impact it. I can't see the sense in adding by subtraction like that. To increase attendance in the park (which I'd imagine is the number one goal of adding things to a park) anything they add to Animal Kingdom needs to be sufficiently different from what is already there so as to be an additional draw, not a distraction from what is there currently.

Of course, I'm just spitballing, I don't have any factual information to back up my opinion.

I don't know, under that theory isn't Pirates of the Caribbean basically a re-themed It's a Small World with a drop? And because the basic point of the ride system is that the cars can bounce and move in different directions each time, would your average tourist even notice or care?
Oh, and thanks for telling me what CTX stood for :D

No because it uses the same ride system as CTX/Dino it would be like building the Nemo sub ride from DL in MK, 20K is the same sytem different theme.

I doubt it`d happen since the EMV system is quite expensive for the experience it provides. TDO just wouldn`t want their only 2 EMVs in the same park when Indy could do better in DHS.

I don't care which park it goes it, I just want it! It was my favorite ride in DL, and actually didn't make me sick, like CTX does. I don't know why that is, but I love it!

Maybe if they changed it so it is similar to Journey to the Center of The Earth in Disney Seas. That uses more Test Track kind if technology.

Hmm, that could prove interesting. Disney World gets a cool Indy ride and Disneyland's get to remain unique. EVERYONE WINS!

I don't mind the idea of attractions being featured in mulitple parks (ie: Soarin' in FL and CA) but given the option, I would prefer something completely different to a copied project in WDW. Rather than the Indy ride from CA, I'd rather have something with a totally different theme, even if it employs the same ride system as something already existing in a Disney park.

I've never experienced the Indy Ride in CA, so I can't comment on what a great ride experience it may or may not be, but I like the idea of attractions, unique to a single park. I know it may be a bit more expensive to re-theme, but copy-cat attraction idea appears to be the "easy way out".

Perhaps I hold Disney to a higher standard?

While I tend to agree with you, Indy is by far one of the top 3 attractions Disney has ever built. I'm not a fan of cloning rides, but I would die for an Indy ride.

Besides, who DOESN'T love some Dr. Jones?
