They are the generally same scores as Splash had. With a much smaller sample size.According to Touring Plans, Tiana's has top guest satisfaction scores. Not sure why people are putting their personal bias on the ride.
I am assuming you are talking about the folks who claim it is a failure despite the presented evidence to the contrary?According to Touring Plans, Tiana's has top guest satisfaction scores. Not sure why people are putting their personal bias on the ride.
It would be interesting to see the data on who rode Splash before riding Tiana and what their thoughts are, seeing as anyone who rates it highly probably didn't ride Splash.I am assuming you are talking about the folks who claim it is a failure despite the presented evidence to the contrary?
If so, we all have a hard time accepting we are in the minority on something a lot of the time.
Personally, I think TBA is a big step down from what we had and even more disappointing compared to what could have been. It is clear as day to me that we got an overthought, less fun, disjointed mess that barely works. I doubt I would wait more than a handful of minutes to ride it again on future trips if I even bother. All pretty clear signs of it being a failure to me.
However, what I think is largely irrelevant as the overwhelming majority of guests seem to be rating it highly. Maybe that changes over time but for now, TBA seems to be a hit with most park goers.
I definitely think that splash was a better attraction - is that a “bias”?According to Touring Plans, Tiana's has top guest satisfaction scores. Not sure why people are putting their personal bias on the ride.

Dcl isn’t really in question…because it’s the last thing in their parks portfolio that they can milk harder…I know. If you followed the conversation you’d see I basically said that previously. DCL of course can be scrapped as Genting was, but this just starts to turn silly and meaningless. I’m not the one with black and white thinking here.
I feel 98% confident DCLs orders will carry through, the cruise industry doesn’t have current signs of distress. It would take another pandemic event to disrupt spending there and even still a few more financially perilous operations didn’t cancel their orders.
I definitely think that splash was a better attraction - is that a “bias”?
Also…. According to touring plans, there are several MK attractions that get higher ranking, although Tianas is certainly up there - which it should be. I wouldn’t put it at the bottom of the list either. I’m not going to rank it a 0.
Did you ever see splash when it worked? The wdw version may have been the best ride ever created…I prefer TBA over Splash.
The most likely scenario is that most people liked both, enjoyed the change, but still really loved the drop for the most part and moved on with their life.
I am sure that is the case for some but everyone in our group last visit had ridden Splash and all but me thought it was just as good. One good thing about that is now I know they all have poor taste (before anyone misreads this and gets offended or upset, this is a joke). It would be interesting to see the data on who rode Splash before riding Tiana and what their thoughts are, seeing as anyone who rates it highly probably didn't ride Splash.

What surprised me even more is about half didn't even notice any of the ride operational issues that were plain as day to me. Tiana not moving, a second Tiana and the end Mama Odie talking without moving their mouths, a Lewis that was twitching, etc.
Maybe it is just me, and I understand needing some time to iron things out, but the amount of problems this thing has is criminal for what they spent.
Obviously you responded before you saw I added a disclaimer (which was very quickly as the site didn't even register it as an edit) but really? That is where you go given the context of the overall conversation? I mean I guess I don't blame you given the internet in general these days but seems like a pretty big jump from this end.One good thing about this post is that we know you judge people based on whether or not they agree with you?

No problem. I get it.Were you joking? Then I apologize.
My edit: Given the hyperbole in these type of threads, I took it at face value.
No no no…Ok!
As for Florida spending, it’s up to the next CEO to pick a fight when Florida audits them. Given how erratic things were last time, I also think the appetite to have that occur is lower with current leadership. But who knows how terrible the next installment is.
This is a ridiculously ignorant statement that betrays a fundamental misunderstanding about how a business works. Guest satisfaction drives repeat customers, and word of mouth / reviews draws in new customers. If you run your business with no regard for guest satisfaction only caring about extracting maximum guest spending you will go out of business very quickly. Also Guest Satisfaction is completely irrelevant. Guest SPENDING is a relevant metric.
Eh…. Idk about that. Louis is one of my favorite Disney characters and something looks off about him. That said, the animatronics are the standout and look great, when they work.
