Works on Flight of Passage too.A little tip on Rise. I always show up 5 minutes before park close. Longest I have ever waited was 20 minutes.

I completely agree that Rise is a top 15 but not 10 at the resort - which is a pretty strong indictment of a ride that needed to be a grand slam for many reasons. It should have rivalled Mystic or shanghai Pirates or Beijing Jurassic and its just not in that league. We like RoTR but rarely ride it because (to us) it’s not worth the long queue, it always has a long queue though so others must find it worth the wait.
It’s a great example of the saying “no one goes because it’s too crowded”.
At 30 minutes it’s a must do, it’s not worth 60 though. It wouldn’t make my top 10 list but it would be in the top 15.
Alright so it’s currently early 2025, has anyone actually seen any NEW cost cutting measures?
This is a good tip and it works on most every attraction.A little tip on Rise. I always show up 5 minutes before park close. Longest I have ever waited was 20 minutes.
Rise is much better than Mystic or Beijing Jurassic. And I was harsh on Rise when it opened (you can see my posts here in 2019!)I completely agree that Rise is a top 15 but not 10 at the resort - which is a pretty strong indictment of a ride that needed to be a grand slam for many reasons. I think Rise outclasses Shanghai Pirates too. At least with Rise you’re surrounded by practical props & sets. The parts of Pirates that are supposed to be impressive are all just large screens. It underwhelmed me a bit (but that ride system definitely could be used for something awesome somewhere else).Rise is much better than Mystic or Beijing Jurassic. I think that’s fair. I think the screens did a good job with scale and the integration of the physical ships, but I can see why it would be underwhelming. I am sad I will never be able to see it when it was all working. Sadly this is true for many folks on several attractions through the years; effects they open with break, never get fixed and all subsequent riders get a downgraded experience.
Its Disney's new sixth key value:
View attachment 839623Rise has almost all of its effects work about as reliably as IJA if not more yes the canons do not work but that is because the canons are on top of more trackless ride vehicles and the sensors get confused chalk it up to design error if you want but I see no fix that wouldn’t require the ride close for months.

I'll add if you're not building a top 10, build 2 top 20's for the same cost.I completely agree that Rise is a top 15 but not 10 at the resort - which is a pretty strong indictment of a ride that needed to be a grand slam for many reasons. Rarely do costs pencil out this wayI'll add if you're not building a top 10, build 2 top 20's for the same cost.
Nah, it’s nothing particularly shocking, it’s more the little things. Can someone explain the hype behind the Shanghai Pirates system? Is it something you have to see in person to really be amazed by? I've seen some on-ride video but nothing that really blew me away.

well I’ve only seen it on YouTube but I think the screens look very realistic and I LOVE the scene where you go between the two ships like in the old concept art not to mention I really like the movies too.Can someone explain the hype behind the Shanghai Pirates system? Most being the key word. It doesn’t seem to work as well on Tron. That will still often be at least an hour wait or more at park close. This is a good tip and it works on most every attraction.
I believe they could build 2 nice attractions for 225 mil eachRarely do costs pencil out this way
True and it’s going to be worse with Big Thunder closed and Tiana mostly down and having no standby. Most being the key word. It doesn’t seem to work as well on Tron. That will still often be at least an hour wait or more at park close.
