I have no ideaā¦I heard it on a promo for yacht rock on SiriusBy paradise I assume you mean the Fort Wilderness DVC trailers in the woods?
The man took annual trips with his family to Disney growing up and he has talked more than once in multiple interviews about how much he loved those trips and how they impacted his life.
Why is it so hard to understand someone could be one of the worst people to run a thing yet still care about it?
Agreed. He slashed/burned and upcharged every single thing on the ground in a typical park day for his whole tenureā¦
He obviously didn't do the first and I doubt the second but one common theme amongst failed leadership in my experience is they truly believe they were doing the right thing. With that in mind, would it be all that surprising if he actually thought he was improving things? That he felt he had great ideas to make sure the parks and company as a whole were viable long into the future? Maybe he even justified much of it thinking some short-term pain was needed to secure the long term.So either he didnāt āwalk the walkā of loving parks from the customer perspectiveā¦or was being held in a hostage situation by a Napoleon in a sweater
Of course it doesn't. Welcome to the walking pile of contradictions that is humanity.Doesnāt jive
A lot, when it is related to your income. How many recreation activities that you donāt really like do you do multiple times?
And it can be directly traced to the ridiculous price increases and service cuts.A drop in park business when travelers are spending like sailors is not a good āmarket signā ā¦likeā¦at all
He didnāt always work for Parks and Resorts. Thereās absolutely no benefit to not accepting this information. Liking something doesnāt make you good at it.A lot, when it is related to your income.
Are we talking about Bob C or Josh?He slashed/burned and upcharged every single thing on the ground in a typical park day for his whole tenureā¦

Ah, pate' ala fluffy.......So, more water in the wine? Mixing a little cat meat in the hamburgers and pretend it's beef?
ā¦good pointAre we talking about Bob C or Josh?
Nopeā¦he used to sell catchupHe didnāt always work for Parks and Resorts. Thereās absolutely no benefit to not accepting this information. Liking something doesnāt make you good at it.
Yepā¦he discussed it with his closest āadviserā in his mirrorā¦but it never went outside of that.He was thinking about running for president at this point. That heavily influences him in this period.
I rarely have agreed with a post this muchI think he recognized his legacy but didnāt really understand it. I donāt think he understood why, despite Shanghai Disneyland and Star Wars, he was still seen as being in Eisnerās shadow. His last hurrah was supposed to be the DS+R wonder table, a project that made no fiscal sense but included a starchitect just like Michael used to, something that reeked of blind imitation to try and get out of that shadow.
Fans Liking Napoleon for prebooked fastpasses doesnāt make him good at his job.
I wouldn't count on additional deals. Once they announced these deals, options started disappearing pretty fast, at least as we were booking ours for July. Will this cost cutting still be going on in May? Have been researching a potential (first) trip to WDW for this coming late April/ early May the last few days and just stumbled on this thread. Originally was planning on waiting until my daughter hit 40 inches in 2026 but took a look at the attraction roster height requirements and realized that won't be necessary as the bulk of the attractions we care about either have a 42" height requirement and up, have no requirement at all or she's already tall enough to ride. She'll be able to ride Slinky Dog, 7 Dwarf Mine train, Kali River Rapids etc and we're good with that. The deals aren't that great now. They're Ok. I thought they would offer some better deals with epic universe opening this Spring. Anyone have any idea if they ll be offering some more attractive deals in the coming months?
Thatās not how this is doneā¦deals have limited numbers to try to get you to do just what you just didā¦I wouldn't count on additional deals. Once they announced these deals, options started disappearing pretty fast, at least as we were booking ours for July.
So we were duped.Thatās not how this is doneā¦deals have limited numbers to try to get you to do just what you just didā¦
ā¦does not mean the rooms are full.
No. You made a rational decision based on price point and your own cost-benefit analysisSo we were duped.
