It’s a legit concern for some border communities. So not really misinformation. Here’s one example from august 4.

“According to the city of McAllen, since mid-February of 2021, there have been over 7,000 confirmed COVID-19 positive immigrants released into the City of McAllen by CBP, including over 1,500 new cases in the past seven days.”
Sorry it is a waste of your time to argue with uninformed people. They don't know enough to have a legitimate conversation but I appreciate your accurate information.

Informed people know this information but the main stream liberal press has refused to cover the border.

Rather than blame the pandemic on the unvaccinated right here in our country, some deflect and turn the attention to the border .

The time for pointless debates and rhetoric is over. It’s time people just get the shot and we all move on with life. The government isn’t going to physically force anyone to get vaccinated but if you don’t then don’t expect to have the same free movement in society. End of story, end of debate.

That said, this isnt August 2020 when there was nothing but masks to protect ourselves with. Even hand sanitizer was still hard to get. So while we should all take necessary precautions there is no reason to panic.

Get the vaccine they say but they let people cross the border unvaccinated and infected on a daily basis ----- makes no sense

I really couldn’t give a crap about talking points. I just look at the numbers and what doctors at the border are saying. And this has led me to be legitimately concerned.

And at the same time, vaccination rates are a huge problem in US. Hospitalizations. Deaths. It’s obvious.

I can think about two things at once. And I don’t need any talking points from anyone to do so.
One issue that has been addressed in the media is the burnout of the medical staff in the hospitals due to the covid surge turning more and more hospital areas into covid wards. Some are quitting the profession outright and some choose to end their lives because of the stress and trauma they have faced.

Ok? Not sure what your point is. You think the surge across the country is because of the southern border?
No. Most of that is due to the unvaccinated and delta. Obviously.
But the surge across the border is also contributing to spread in certain communities. introducing a couple thousand covid positive individuals to a community is likely to do that. I don’t get why this is so controversial. I believe one area has seen a 900% increase in positive tests from these individuals over the last month. It’s just adding to the problem for these communities. So yes. Concerned.

Mexico’s outbreak is contemporaneous with or slightly more recent then the one in the US south. It didn’t cause it. And Florida doesn’t share much of a border with Mexico.

You are hearing news stories about border doctors because a powerful group is pushing a talking point to deflect blame from where it rightly belongs - with them. It’s a textbook example of spin.
