Money brings out the worst in some people, here is an example;

The sentence imposed Thursday on 36-year-old Andrew Tezna of Leesburg was roughly in line with the 21-month sentence sought by federal prosecutors in Alexandria.
Tezna’s lawyer had sought home detention. Tezna pleaded guilty to fraud after submitting bogus applications under the government’s Paycheck Protection Program.
During the fraud, Tezna was making more than $180,000 annually working in NASA’s financial offices. He used the money to pay off a swimming pool and a Disney timeshare, among other items. He also paid more than $6,000 for a French bulldog."

Nice make it a triple xxx felony to fraudulently claim you are vaccinated and enforce the law.

Oops, my bad. Missed the word not in your statement. But I am still against any more stimulus. I feel like I am paying for someone to go on vacation. If you are not a responsible person then I don't care any more.
Your going to be paying a lot more in the long run to rebuild the country if this thing goes sideways.

Or acknowledge there are both really. People say that they don't want to pay people to vaccinate but we need to realize there are socioeconomic issues for many and unless they are paid to take the vaccine, they literally cannot afford to take time off to do so. Outreach to marginalized is key to help. And let's be real calming medical fears type of outreach from a buncha white people might not be wise eitherFor further reading:

Some people are flat out jerks about it. Some also are young and feel they are not at risk.
I cannot imagine for the life of me what LA County is thinking. If the goal to drop the case #'s is to mask up everyone I do not think that'll work. Here's why.
Those who will comply for the most part have already been vaccinated. Those who will NOT comply are largely unvaccinated people. They will still catch/spread Covid because they didn't wear a mask before and will not wear one now.
So what exactly will they accomplish? I'd be willing to bet $1 in a week to 10 days their numbers have stalled at best if not continued to rise. Masking up vaccinated people will have no impact at all. The unvaxxed will continue to not wear masks and make things worse. Their decision makes zero sense.

There is evidence vaccinated people can spread the virus to others regardless of vaccination status. We have no idea how many breakthrough cases there are in the US because no one in the Biden administration is pushing for a database of breakthroughs outside of those leading to hospitalizations and deaths, which is maddening.
Also, the problem isn't really the people who are full-throatedly against vaccinations. There are many college-indebted young people, Hispanics and Blacks in LA County who aren't getting the vaccines because they are in poverty and cannot afford insurance (meaning no protection against surprise billing) and are rightfully distrustful towards the health care system that has historically devalued them over the wealthy for years.
