My friend went to Disney World Monday on a whim with her 3 sisters for 5 nights to come home on Friday night , On the Saturday before she got tested for a dental procedure done Sunday- today she is at MK and gets the call she has COVID 19.. now she said she is already there and is going to enjoy the parks since she is asymptomatic. This is why I don't trust people! PS: Yes, I told her she was wrong and she needed to contact Southwest and Disney, she said she will do what she wants she is a " grown a** woman!"

When you're a "grown a** woman!", you understand what it means to be responsible for the well being of others and don't need to be told to leave the parks.

Here's how the hierarchy of evidence works in medicine. The problem is you are mostly talking about expert opinion and case reports. It's actually the weakest form of evidence.

We have much higher quality of evidence demonstrating that it is not effective.
And practically every institution responsible for making sure the data is collected and presented correctly is going to benefit greatly from the handouts. Would Harvard or Princeton bend over backwards for a $50 million grant? Absolutely. This is not about 1 pharmaceutical company benefitting. There is the equivalent of 10,000 grants that size in the stimulus package, and they are talking about more. Let that sink in for a minute. 10,000, $50 million handouts.

If there's an app being built for Apple and Android, you can guarantee there is good money in it for them too.

I would call and report. That's just not right on so many levels. Yep...call me a snitch all you want - she could be endangering someone's life.
The better question is what could Disney do? If someone called in a tip that the person was Covid positive would they even confront the guest? If they ask the sick person to confirm if the ”tip” was true and they say no what then? I don’t see them requiring proof or a test. Tough situation for Disney. You can’t make safety plans to avoid intentional violations.

Google and Apple already released the technology for the app on all of their devices. If you have an iPhone or an android device it’s already equipped. They are leaving it up to states to develop the apps and run them. What’s the problem with Google or Apple making money if they did? Are you opposed to capitalism?

This might be of interest...note the quote from the article:

Palm Beach County Sheriff Ric Bradshaw and prosecutors are looking into charging people who knowingly expose others to 2019 Novel Coronavirus with crimes of some sort. This comes after a 70-something man boarded a JetBlue flight to Palm Beach March 11 without notifying anyone of his pending coronavirus test.

Good for them...I doubt it will stick, but they should be able to charge someone if they knowingly infect others.

You know what's funny?
Except for the 3 people staying in the room with her...and everyone nearby in the restaurant when she’s eating...and everyone in the pool near her...and the dishwasher, waiter or housekeepers handling her dirty dishes.
I can only make dumb jokes nowadays. Well, more than I used to make. Just tired. And I consider myself one of the fortunate ones.

I'm actually surprised it hasn't come up yet...we've all seen at least one story of someone who continued to work while waiting for their test, which then came back positive. That CAN'T be the only instance of people not self-isolating when they're supposed to.

Agreed, rotten situation for Disney but worse publicity if it is true and hits the news or has consequences. Rotten for the CM’s too if they catch it I assume they will lose money if isolating. I understand the frustration if you’ve spent money on a needed vacation if you don’t feel ill. Where would they be able to isolate? On Disney property? I would guess the airline would refuse to fly them back to their destination airport. Total nightmare alround.

If you have a smart phone, you are being tracked. It's been that way for many years. Attaching a COVID tracker to that is a piece of cake, if they even had to do anything.

Serious question where would you isolate if you tested positive at Disney (and told them) if you were relying on a flight to get you home?
