You know what's funny?
It's baffling that DeSantis is still worried about people visiting from NJ, NY, and CT but isn't scaling back his own state's reopening as cases surge to among the highest levels in the country.
Technically he extended the state of emergency order, not the tri-state piece specifically. They could always go back and make an amendment I imagine.

Theoretically, they could use your billing address but whether or not they will is another matter. If they did, then they should consider giving residents of those states extensions on their Annual Passes and Tables in Wonderland beyond what's already been done since they're saying you aren't allowed to visit even when they open.

Exactly.

Did Desantis give the reason for extending the tri state ban yet again? Our numbers are lower then his own darn state

And the magic question is how is WDW going to enforce this? On the honor system?
I can't remember but when you purchase tickets/packages, don't you have to have your home address on file?

They can’t and won’t enforce it. People from NY/NJ/CT are not banned from entering FL they just have to quarantine 14 days upon arrival so Disney can’t just use their billing address to block them from buying tickets.

It's funny how the tables have turned. Now NY/NJ/CT make Floridians (among others) quarantine for 14 days now.

No reason given because none would make any actual sense. He’s stupidly hurting his own state’s economy when there are actually people willing to hop on a plane and fly to FL for a vacation but they can’t. Quarantining 14 days when returning is bad enough, but nobody is going to fly in 2 weeks early, serve a 14 day quarantine, have their vacation and then come home to serve another 14 day quarantine. That’s 5 weeks used to get a 1 week vacation in.

Where are all the people screaming about the economy and central FL needing tourist destinations open right now? Not seeing a lot of outrage from them over this.

PA has joined them too. It’s not just Floridians (up to 19 states now) it’s residents of NY or PA traveling to those states for vacation that have to quarantine when they return home.

Is it confirmed the tri states are still included with this new EO for another 60 days?

If so well then...as I've said in the past (and was blasted on here for it) it's political plays against each other with these travel restrictions. Any other reason why Desantis extended the tri state travel quarantine orders to FL? Certainly not for the #s coming out of the tri state area, which are all well below his own state.

The travel ban was always part of the state of emergency declaration so unless they amend it now to take it out I think it just gets extended 60 more days with the state of emergency.

It’s been a political stunt from the start. FL never had a statistical approach just picked a handful of states. Anyone blasting you for saying that probably blindly supports the guy. It gets that way with politics...especially these days.

Is it baffling though?

Apparently they got that phone fixed @Sirwalterraleigh ... lol
I hate to acknowledge anything an obvious clown does...especially with this particular “handler”...

But this is hilarious.

This is a couple of children trying to “get even” with a couple of governors...it’s embarassing.

Who is hurt more? People from Florida that might go north in the middle of summer?...or the economy of Florida when you tick off the people in the north...who not only just wrote you off for the summer...but have long memories and may not be looking to pay you this fall/winter.

It’s like bringing a “knife” to a mental “gun fight”.

Somebody gets the “boo boo” face...and always has...when the people around New York City laugh at him...

Desantis is just being drug along for the ride.

It looks like Florida Division of Emergency Management confirmed to BM that the quarantine order was extended. Although, as mentioned, it is possible they amend it just like was done with the order for bars.

When its 20 degrees in the northeast they’ll go to Florida.

Miami-Dade mayor has reversed the gym order, with conditions -

"Miami-Dade Mayor Carlos Gimenez is revising his Emergency Order once again and will not shutdown gyms and fitness studios as originally announced on Monday.

In a Tweet Monday, Gimenez wrote, “I had a very productive virtual meeting just now with our medical experts and the County’s Wellness Group. We arrived at a compromise to keep gyms & fitness studios open. All doing activities inside must wear a mask or do strenuous training outside staying 10 feet apart w/outmask.”"
