What happens in the US has a significant impact on jobs, politics and culture in Canada and vice versa, even if you don't personally care.

The border is closed to non-essential travel out of the concern that cases could be spread by Americans who do not take the virus seriously.
I agree, but another poster told me that was false. China and India would be taking us over as the number one economy. I’m not sure how that’s going to work out for Canada. By the way I love Canada. Friendliest people I ever met and the prettiest and cleanest country other than Iceland I’ve visited. I just don’t keep with Canadian politics because it doesn’t affect us.

If that’s the rationale, is there nothing fun to do in each of our home states/territories? Why travel at all? What’s the difference between traveling between countries and states for entertainment purposes? Why take an international cruise....just get on any old boat....
None of us can travel internationally. Why not travel in you own country. . I had to cancel my Europe trip. I’m going to WDW instead.

Just out of interest why do you question every statement someone makes? No offense.
I don’t but if someone tells me I’m wrong and to read a book they should at least tell me what book to read. People make a lot of sarcastic comments and when you question them they don’t follow through and then they pull out the troll card.

Literally any book that discusses the foreign relations. There are so many to chose from.
Heck, read any book on WWII just to see how our nations decisions impact one another.
That wasn’t the post where you told me to read a book. It was the one where I referred to another poster telling me China and India would replace the US as the number one economy and how it would affect Canada. That’s the book I want to read. What book is that?

Most commenters comment based on science and data. Some, like yourself, comment based on gut and politics.

No, I just don't swallow the crazy fear data. I look at real things like this, that shows death rates are way down in the US, like every country.

You posted a graph showing projected deaths could rise. Great job in making your case!!!

Also, you say that data is used to create crazy fear, and then you post a graph of... data.

Also, you impugn those showing data that they're fearmongering. Excuse you. I'm not. That's not my intention and you wound me, good sir, for implying I do.

Altho, if people can post data to maximize fear, then people can post data to minimize fear. Hey... did you just post data to trivialize the situation and hide risk just so things can OPEN NOW?

Just out of interest why are Canadians so interested in what goes on in the US. INo offense I never give a thought to what happens in Canada.

And I think they said one time that they don’t even like Disney all that much, could be wrong though

Truth , the poster keeps trying to bait everyone with the same passive aggressive question.

But it shows that the huge rises in cases haven’t increased deaths, and aren’t expected to much.

The fear mongers want you to believe we are doomed again As more and more studies show actual infection rate is massively more than reported, and so death rate is massively lower.
