Isolating yourself in your trailer or home isn't really helping people. If you want to help people than get out and help people. FYI the people that need help aren't reading this board.
I never said I wanted to help people. I'm doing my best to limit being around others and social distancing.

What I was getting at was more on the government side of things. Instead of rushing to open everything maybe worry about trying to lower the case numbers by slowing down reopening.

I'm a Canadian and have seen how it can be done. Yes our deaths are high but most of that is due to Senior homes. The province I live in had 170 cases today and have been below 200 for the past few weeks. It baffles me on why many U.S. states couldn't do the same.

We are in phase 2 here and have just allowed restaurants to open but only their patios. Malls are opening but have limited capacity. All retail has been open for a month now. No theme parks have any dates for opening yet. If cases stay low then the next phase happens

We opened almost two months ago and we are still at 50% capacity for restaurants and stores. This whole you opened too fast stuff is nonsense.

I live in a city with a population of 35,000. We currently have 200 cases. I can drive 7 miles east into a poor community and it's a completely different story. All that being said are deaths are low in our state.

Its not nonsense at all. Where you live I would consider that moving slowly. I look at Texas and Florida and IMO they should be at phase til cases go down.

IMO theme parks shouldn't be opening yet at all. Especially in states were the numbers are out of control.

Just out of interest why are Canadians so interested in what goes on in the US. INo offense I never give a thought to what happens in Canada.

I'm guessing you have never visited Canada? For most Canadians we travel to the US for vacations. For me my summer is spent visiting multiple theme parks in the US. With our border closed and the mandatory 14 day quarantine upon return, if we fly to the US most Canadians can't visit. Most want the border to stay closed cause of how out of control its gotten. Til the US gets its act together I am not willing to do what I love to do.

Is there nothing fun to do in Canada.

What happens in the US has a significant impact on jobs, politics and culture in Canada and vice versa, even if you don't personally care.

The border is closed to non-essential travel out of the concern that cases could be spread by Americans who do not take the virus seriously.

Many have family that live in both countries and travel between the two frequently or live in one, work in the other.
Maybe if you live near the border. But most Americans aren’t keeping up with Canadian or Mexican news. When I was Greece they were showing the 2016 US presidential debates on the big screen at the Hard Rock. I didn’t even know who the president of Greece was.
