So some of you might be familiar with me. I expect many are not. I’m a family doc in Michigan and have been a member of this community for 15 years. I’m an owner of many primary care clinics in my state and we decided to close our offices to patients on Monday to help contain the spread. We’re doing all virtual visits now. We’ve done everything right and have been “ahead of the curve”. For the past couple of days my wife has developed progressively worsening symptoms of covid 19. She is unable to be tested because she does not meet criteria but was told to self quarantine. This evening I started coming down with symptoms. We have two children, one a tween with type 1 diabetes and a full blown teenager, both of whom are wonderful. We followed all guidelines and I bought n95 respirators for all of us a month ago because of my daughter. We expect the best outcomes and my hope is in 2 weeks I can post here and say were all heathy and immune now. I’m posting this because this is no joke. I pray for our health and the health of all my patients and all of you. Hopefully in three months we can all celebrate the major discounts Disney is offering and how ROTR is super easy to get a boarding pass. God Bless all of you and my family.
Best wishes to you and your family. If anyone is prepared to tackle this, it sounds like it’s you.

If you don’t mind me asking, what are your symptoms and how fast or slow do they progress?

"Midday Thursday, Cirque CEO Daniel Lamarre announced to staff that the company is laying off 95 per cent of its employees. The Cirque will lay off 4,679 employees, keeping just 259 staffers to maintain basic operations and continue tour planning and ticket sales for shows scheduled for later this year and in 2021. The Cirque will prepare for rehiring if and when productions are allowed to return to the stage."

I had tickets to Cirque’s MJ One at Mandalay Bay this past Sunday.. I had cancelled the trip last week, due to my own recovery from an illness.
I do know that they are planning on opening back up in May...but who knows if that will change.

In the Parks
No
during that trip I got sick AF with all of the symptoms of CoVid 19

As I belive this virus has been in the US much longer than anyone realizes this is one of my questions. How do we know if someone has been infected and recovered? If you go and get tested it should show negative because your systems cleared up and your good. But if true are you now immune to this? And how much of the population possibly has been exposed and recovered without any knowledge? Is their anyway to know that?

Ughhh while I know this is for the best but it sucks not knowing if I still have a job come tomorrow or if I'll have a job to return too when this is over. It was also a messy announcement. Came after bussiness hours and gave us 3ish hours to shut down operations. Caught everyone off guard (most found out over dinner) and now business are scrambling trying to figure out how to move forward. I know some businesses had already started remote working but manufacturers cant do that. This morning manufacturers where being told that they where essential now we are closed for an unspecified period of time with no notice. Lots of people scrambling, not good.

My wife began feeling achy and fatigued 3 days ago. 2 days ago she developed a fever >100 and fatigue along with chills. Today she developed cough and shortness of breath. I purchased a pulse ox off amazon last month. Today they’re all sold out. I ordered one from walgreens for my parents tonight. That seems to be the best indicator of severity. I started will chills tonight and some myalgias. We both had influenza B back in January so I’m confident it’s not that. Please feel free to ask any questions anyone has.

I thought they owned a %?
They own a % of Shanghai. Tokyo is a pure licensing agreement but it’s still good money coming in with no real expenses. They have no operational control of the parks but they do have creative input and all new attractions go through Disney Imagineering.

Privileged get the head start, sold their stocks in time....greed over alerting the public.

The only story there is Trump was contradicting everyone who was informed. Not that there was something nefarious in the senator telling people the same stuff scientists were at the same time.

I’m becoming sick of the word “pneumonia”, but I will tell you that her symptoms sound exactly like mine... and pneumonia was my diagnosis after a doctors visit.
It’s still ravaging though, so either way not an easy time. :(

I’m looking at hydroxychloroquine as a possible treatment. The FDA approved it today but there hasn’t been guidance to the appropriate dosing instructions.

So sorry to hear about everything. As a fellow healthcare worker this is my greatest fear.

You could always uptodate the malarial dosage and wing it a little. Really not ideal, but that dosing would at least be a known safe dosing level.

Good luck with everything. Keep us updated.

The resort will provide an extensive range of measures, designed to ensure a safe and healthy experience for all guests, Cast Members and Disneytown tenant employees, including strict and comprehensive approaches on sanitization, disinfection and cleanliness. In accordance with relevant regulations, every guest entering Shanghai Disney Resort will be required to undergo temperature screening procedures and present their Shanghai QR Code. Only guests with a green Shanghai QR Code will be allowed to enter the resort. Guests must wear a mask during their entire visit (except when dining), and will also be reminded to maintain respectful social distances at all times while in stores, queues and restaurants.

What’s up with this ‘Green Shanghai QR code’ stuff? I’m guessing that’s linked to the extensive Chinese contact tracing effort?

Do we have any insider information on how they plan to open / operate the park? Full menu of attractions or highly limited?
