Not really. It’s being responsible to get 8 weeks of toilet paper and food (that’s not that much) because you will use it anyway. No more and no less than that.

it’s also more efficient than wasting hours and hours going from store to store looking for even one 4 pack of toilet paper because it’s all sold out.

How is it responsible given all the shortages that have already been caused by people buying too much? We’re doing a terrible disservice to the most vulnerable in society—those who can’t afford to buy out the store and won’t be able to find what they need when they need it.

Oh goodness. I forgot about that!! I know so much went to charity for that event.. would be terrible to see refunds given. I’m assuming KI would be responsible for the refunds and not take from the charities. What a mess. :(
I’m sure they’re holding out on announcements for as soon as possible. I haven’t seen our Governor say anything about Cedar Point or Kings Island yet.
If they saved me a shirt and gave a front of line pass to use when they are able to open, I'd be okay with that given the circumstances. It is outdoors so kinda an iffy situation.

Six bay area counties, including San Francisco County, are going to require people to stay in their homes except for essential needs Order will be in place through April 7th Other counties: Santa Clara, San Mateo, Marin, Contra Costa and Alameda.

So not to be indelicate, but what dose that mean for the transient homeless population ?

People are unable to get their regular weekly groceries because everyone is going out and buying too much at once...and it happened overnight. One day the stores were normal, the next, they looked like we're going through a war.

ETA: We have probably a week's worth of dried/canned/frozen goods that we purchased in addition to what we usually buy, but we spread the purchases over two weeks.
I work weird hours so when I finished for the night last week I saw some reports come out and I told my husband we needed to get our weekly groceries early. That's all we can afford at a time and honestly all we really have room for In our pantry and fridge. I knew when people got up in the morning they would be going crazy. So we did our normal groceries with a few extras. I'm talking 2 extra boxes of pasta, 2 extra gallons of milk, and an extra 12 count of tp because we had 4 rolls and I knew that wouldn't t last us another week. I ran to Publix early the next morning after I dropped the kids at school, did my normal BOGO shopping and that was it. We can't afford to buy that much at a time and it's just greedy. After prepping for hurricanes you kind of learn what you can live off of. I didn't freak out about tons of extra water this time because if we ran out of our normal stuff we have tap water. Not ideal for our county but doable for a bit. People havent totally lost their crap yet but they will.
I've given myself up to the fact that we won't be going to Disney in May. I don't see enough being done to have this controlled by then. We are planning on next May. I'm hoping by the the rescheduled crowds won't be crazy. We have friends having a bowling bday for their son this weekend. They still plan on having it. We won't be attending. Until stuff closes, people will find stuff to do. My 70 yr old MIL is just recovering from a cold (yes it was just a cold 😉) but she's still got congestion etc. She has the normal health issues that come with age but she's also the type to get sick and really be sick.... mentally. She's a woman that gets a man's cold (sorry guys😁). It drives me a little batty. Then today, she talks to my husband and tells him she went to the big grocery big bulk wholesale store here and was about to go walk the treadmill at the gym!!!!! I was P!$$ed. One, she gets it, I doubt she will recover, two, she's risking spreading it, and three) she complains so much when she's sick but then says she just can't sit inside all day. She lives in a great neighborhood. She could go for a walk. She could sit on her back patio and read a book. I just don't get that thought process at all. But this is the thought process that will happen over and over until everything is closed.

. At the end of the day though, people made a conscious choice to go to the parks or not. We all had the same information, so if they felt at risk then they just could’ve not gone.

No, that ain't right..... that ain't good.

Fine if you want to risk something for yourself---- go do it. Mountain climb, cave dive, venture into Iran to take pictures for an expose or journal.....get on it by all means.

But don't be swarming the parks so you can bring back a little something extra for your neighbor Ernie and his family back in Lincoln Nebraska. Not cool.

They are probably out of luck as flags will probably go bankrupt after Corona
I would have to agree with you. If you can run a promo where a Coke can gets you free admission or a one day pass is the same as a yearly pass, you are probably hanging on by a thread anyways.

Do we know for certain mass graves are being dug in Iran? Our society has been pretty prone to taking photos and videos shared via social media out of context (ie Covington). How do we know for sure we’re not taking those satellite images out of context?
Yes, we do.

Our community here in FL just announced that the builder is closing all amenities in all of their communities throughout Florida. This includes any amenity, gyms, and pools.

They could have limited it to guests who haven’t been to Disney in 4 months instead of letting vloggers who have been there 19 million times in the last year on the name of safety
If they really wanted to keep the parks open for guests who were already there and had days left on a multi-day pass they could have banned all AP holders. That would have at least reduced crowd size and AP holders are getting credit for days lost so nobody would be out money. I still think they should have just announced after park close on Thursday and never opened the parks again on Friday.
