So work officially moved to two weeks in office, two weeks from home shifts. That is unless your job can be performed effectively from home, then just stay home. We're still building stuff out to allow additional resources to work from home on top of this. It's been a total crazy day here but everything is moving along as quickly as we can make it happen.

I think this may be the dawn of more companies realizing the positives of working from home.

I'm not complaining about anything because there are so many who have been hit worse than I. I can't imagine having a family member in a nursing home, and not being allowed to see them. I can't imagine being quarantined for 2 weeks with no contact with my family.

I may be spending 99% of my time at home (I may still have to get groceries next week, and I plan on keeping my dental cleaning appt) but at least I still have my husband, cat, and yard.

I also am not living paycheck to paycheck, so have reserves I can live off for a while. And I don't still have children depending upon me. I only have debt if I create it - no loans at the moment.

Maybe not - my dental cleaning appointment for tomorrow was cancelled as the dentist office is closing. I'd think they already take enough infectious disease precautions, but I guess not.

My biggest worry, frankly, is the schools. They are closed for 3 weeks and have told us to plan for the rest of the 2019-2020 school year. I strongly believe in the importance of education, but I know my skillset and teaching is not in it! But somehow we will have to figure out how to educate our 6th grader. Luckily, my sister has an education degree and homeschools her 3 children, so I at least have some local resources I can draw upon.

I really hope it is. Generally speaking, the people who I know who work from home have fabulous work ethic.

This is from earlier, so don’t look at the time stamp.

Also, police (in my area) will not respond to any accidents unless there is an injury involved. We are being told to just exchange insurance info if accident happens.
Not sure if that’s state wide or not.

We are having to cut our trip one day short more than likely. What a bummer. This was turning out to be the best ever. Still was about to go to all parks twice. It’s just a sad state of things even though I’m sitting right here in Disney Springs and it’s business as usual
That is sad. After POTUS and his advisors have suggested no public gatherings of more than 10 people why would they have Disney Springs open business as usual...and why would people still go?

This was doing the rounds on FB earlier. Perhaps you'll find it helpful:

Was he correct though? Did the CDC make that official, or are they still at 50?

They were pretty clear it was 10 At least for 15 days.

The White House has issued guidelines for Americans during the coronavirus pandemic.

Titled “The President’s Coronavirus Guidelines for America: 15 days to slow the spread," many of the guidelines are broad and have been what the administration and health officials have been saying from the start of the outbreak.

Included in the guidelines:

  • People should avoid gathering in groups of more than 10
  • People should stay away from bars restaurants and food courts, and to not travel if possible.
The guidelines also say states that have seen community spread should close bars, restaurants and other public places, though again, that is not a mandate. Several cities including Philadelphia and San Francisco, and entire states including Maryland have already issued the order for bars and restaurants to close as soon as this evening.

What's wrong with Ohio. It sounds as almost as bad as Italy. How did it get this way? Ohio out of all places?

I wish I had a good answer. Our governor is set on reducing spread and not having an overwhelming outbreak... maybe since we didn’t have enough tests he’s now trying to overcompensate by preventing more people from getting sick?

I have no idea. All I know is I hate all of this.

But yet no one has cancelled the primary vote tomorrow. Gotta love the priorities.... and politics.

It is cancelled. Postponed til June.

**edit** let me verify this.. I was told it was postponed.. I’ll look it up to be sure

Edit 2- looks like it’s pending..

I have a doctor's appoint tomorrow with my sleep apnea doctor. They called today to confirm I was going because so many patients didn't show today. I also have my 6 month appointment with my GP on Thursday. I refuse to stop living but will only go out for things I have to do. I am not sick but don't want to take chances. I had to cancel my April WDW trip but rescheduled for June. I am ready to change that if I have to but was glad to hear that the Federal Government expects my September trip to be fine. The key to this ending is actually up to us older people protecting ourselves and not coming into contact with others. The UK may be right and we should self isolate for 4 months.

The testing in my town is a joke. You call for a prescreen first. If your temp isn't 105 or you haven't had direct contact with a positive they aren't sending people to the drive through for the test. I feel like this can't be accurate but that's the word I've heard for here. What's the point of that's the criteria to qualify?! 105 temp you'd be having a freaking seizure!

I had pneumonia and still couldn’t get tested. More are coming but I think we are still a few days away from that everywhere, or at least most places
