Do not wait or rely on testing. Feeling like you may have the symptoms? Self isolate for 7 days minimum.

That’s what most of Europe are already doing.

I was self quarantined in my bedroom, for a week... when diagnosed with pneumonia.
Here’s the thing I learned about pneumonia- you don’t just go right back to 100% even when you’re no longer contagious, it can take up to a month for pain and cough to fully go away.

So, everyone is freaking out over coronavirus, assuming that if someone coughs then they must have it. Testing would make these situations much easier.
You can’t tell people to sit home for a month because they have a lingering cough.

I got 5 cases of Guinness. 4 Bottles of Macallan 18. 8 bottles of Macallan 12. 16 bags of chips. A large freezer full of meat. And enough rolls of Toilet Paper to last me until 2036.

And some sanitizer.

Was in ChickFilA yesterday, paper only, and I watched the same table get cleaned three times while I was there. No one sat at the table the whole time. No condiments, serviceware or anything else out for customers, everything is by request only.

Starbucks and DD have both paused their refillable mug policies as well.

Little tiny bit off topic but from what I have been reading on many Disney boards, seems like 8 out of every 10 people that are canceling are rescheduling for October. Seems that’s the month to avoid now because of crowds.

I hit Joe Canals on my way home from work yesterday. People in NJ have realized. Longer lines than the super market.

I'm in NJ and ShopRite for the last 3 days have been way overcrowded and long, long lines I've heard. I actually tried to get into one near me on Thursday and the parking lot had NO parking and this lot is huge. I tried another SR and the same thing, so I tried Stop & Shop in Edison and it was crowed but nothing like the two SR's.
My Beach Boys concert at TheNJPac is cancelled and so are all others through April. We already had said we weren't going because of our ages.

Hopefully, our Disney trip in August will be on.

I keep seeing comments whenever a public official makes a live announcement that include "boy, they sound hoarse!", "did they just clear their throat?" "they must be getting sick!"

These poor people are talking basically non-stop in an effort to keep us informed. They're going to have scratchy voices after so many meetings and talking for such long stretches.

It’s getting crazy. Literally someone called HR to complain when I was back at work. I got the call from HR, went home for another 2 days.. now back by request.
We can’t become completely hysterical. There is a difference between someone looking visibly ill and hacking all over, and someone who just recovered from an illness or maybe has allergies.
Business should tell their employees (or customers) to stay home or leave if sick.. but we have to retain some common sense as well.

I got a homemade brick oven. Just bring dough, sauce, and some mushrooms and pepperoni. And...some more beer. Now obviously, you'll be sprayed and disinfected before entering.

We were due to arrive in DLP April 1st. We’re moving it back to later in the year. Personally I’d be surprised if they reopen in two weeks.

I agree......I highly doubt DW will reopen in two weeks. I don't see it opening until sometime in May. Too many new cases popping up in Florida and in all the states.

I got a May 3rd Res at the new Pirate Hotel at Legoland for 2 Nights. Then on to my normal Disney pre-Memorial 5 day trip at Coronado later in the month. Haven't cancelled yet. But I've braced the kids.

Supermarkets, Walmart, Target etc. are out of anything edible and the usual TP and disinfectants, Home Depot sold out of freezers (my cousin apparently went to buy one), schools are closed for two weeks...and on the opposite end of the spectrum, you've got a nursing-associated business opening a day-care because the schools closed.

I really think most of the panic/under-reactions are because people don't understand the situation well and even by those leaders who speak well in public, it's just not being verbalized clearly enough.

I agree......I highly doubt DW will reopen in two weeks. I don't see it opening until sometime in May. Too many new cases popping up in Florida and in all the states.

Here's the way I look at it.......I think social media has exacerbated the situation. I equally think that social media will expedite the recovery process.

Same. Our schools are closed for 3 weeks.. all sports are cancelled...not even allowed to have practices.
Ohio went from 0-100mph like I’ve never seen, definitely didn’t expect.

If we knew more, how many people are infected, how many are actually mild and critical, then things wouldn’t be as crazy.

If I cancel. It will be April 30th. I'll let everything play out first.
