Yeah, its mild, we will be fine, its fine.....
In regards to some I know from New Jersey, you can take the girl out of New Jersey but you can never take the New Jersey out of the girl.

We knew it was going to be mild (or less severe than previous variants) but the sheer volume of cases would likely drive up hospitalizations. The fact that the case line is now above the hospitalization line supports that idea that it is milder.
I agree but the prevalence is still straining the healthcare systemThe fact that the case line is now above the hospitalization line supports that idea that it is milder.
The debate is still out about that. People are free to form their own views. And I'm going to do my own research on this.Live electric wires will kill almost everyone who touch them.
305-585-6000It’s not a contest.
If that is the case good luck trying to buy meds for a sore throat. Store shelves from what I've seen are out of stock for weeks .At this point the data is telling us everyone is getting covid. The best thing anyone can do is get vaccinated and boosted. This spread is unstoppable unless you can wait it out for the better part of a month. Yes this is probably milder for most people but exponential spread means more people hospitalized or dead. The fact that so many people omitted are testing positive tells you this is probably going to peak fast and hard as way more people are positive who arent in the system.
I don’t actually know what the hell this post is supposed to mean, but the person who posted what I replied to is constantly posting stats as if it is a contest between whether the vaccinated or unvaccinated are catching COVID. And again, I do not have the slightest idea what sort of point you think you just made.305-585-6000
That’s the Jackson Health Systems phone number. Call them and remind them that this is not a competition. Make sure you tell them 4 or 5 times that your from NYC so they take you seriously and adjust their numbers accordingly.
Stats vs Stats don’t indicate competition, it’s a basic tool of comparison and I don’t understand where the competition part comes in. If it’s something that happened a few hundred posts ago, then I apologize. If you thought the quoted tweet was being competitive I figured you could call and have that explained.I don’t actually know what the hell this post is supposed to mean, but the person who posted what I replied to is constantly posting stats as if it is a contest between whether the vaccinated or unvaccinated are catching COVID. I’m not sure the data backs up your claim that vaccine passports work, New York implemented their passports in August and it barely moved the vaccination rate, it wasn’t until boosters started that rates started to increase again.
We’ve tried carrots, we’ve tried penalties, there’s just a stubborn segment that have dug in their heels and aren’t budging. I don’t think anything but a mandate will get them to get the shot, even that might not do it.

I’ve changed my mind after the latest revelations. He now admits to having given an in-person interview and posing for pictures while knowing he had COVID. He should be sent packing.I hope they don't, because I can see things getting even messier and because (whether I agree with his views or not) he did secure a valid exemption according the requirements he was asked to follow.
No KN95 masks are NIOSH-approved, regardless of the brand. Only N95s are.Odd 5 white was out earlier. I did just see that the VIDA are not even NIOSH approved which I am avoiding.
Oh, okay understood. I know the point that myself and others have made in the past is items like vaccine passports on top of mask mandates...although they did increase vaccination rates, still did not prevent provinces from having to reimplement many lockdown measures such as no indoor dining and limiting indoor gatherings to very small numbers in an effort to deal with limited hospital capacity. So while the goal to reach a higher vaccination rate seems to have been achieved, you are still basically in the same place when it comes to mitigation any time there is a new wave.
As I have said in the past many times, I thought states and provinces should have just mandated the vaccine for all if they were already going to do the halfway stuff like vaccine passports.
Wait he did this last month over in Spain or Serbia no? What does that have to do with now? If he doesn't have covid, he then now has natural immunity thus has antibodies. I don't see an issue here at all? Conspiracy to not let him break Rodger and Nadals record? That's what this will turn into. Let him play. They do every other close contact sport.I’ve changed my mind after the latest revelations. He now admits to having given an in-person interview and posing for pictures while knowing he had COVID. If the sole purpose of the passport was to achieve higher vaccination rates, then bravo. But that wasn’t how it was sold. It was sold as a way to allow vaccinated people to continue their lives in a somewhat normal way. “You want to go eat at a restaurant? Get vaccinated.” “You want to go to the gym? Get vaccinated.” “You want to have gatherings? Get vaccinated.” It was sold as a way to prevent the system from being overwhelmed. But that hasnt happened. So in that sense, you have to admit the plan failed to live up to its end of the deal. Did it fail because of omicron specifically? Maybe. But we really have no idea what delta would have done this winter if it were not for omicron getting in the way. I think delta could have been a lot worse because the last winter wave was still mostly alpha. Doesn’t matter at this point. That's what I mean by getting caught up in the nitty gritty and missing the overall point.
Canada is running the Pandemic far hotter and brighter than it ever has previously and the system is breaking at a later stage. I know it's frustrating particularly because of this current variant, but if we were sitting at 20% less of the population vaccinated we would not be debating the soft restrictions, we'd be locked in home right now.
Quebec has good stats that 50% of the admissions are unvaccinated and only 10% of the adult population are unvaccinated. If we could just close that 10% gap the hospital rate would be 50% less (or 45% if we're being pedantic). That near-halving would be the difference of the system maybe not breaking next time.
Unfortunately Ontario/Quebec DID get to the point where the system would not break with Delta. They did fine in the Fall when lesser vaccinated provinces actually did not do well. That will not be trotted out because it's against the narrative.
But just because Omicron is coming ridiculously more fast and furious does not mean the plan failed. We're in a far better place than we would have been. I'm equally as annoyed as anyone that we're doing this again, but we know the actual way out. As close as possible to 100% vaccine uptake.
